My refund was received 2/5 however I need to amend which was received efile 4/24 the IRS need 16 weeks however with the backup they advised it will take 20 weeks my deadline was 8/14 I got my Congressman involved 8/2 because it’s no way and down right unacceptable for the IRS to pay me my money I worked for a week or after the deadline I have made contact with them myself after my 20 weeks twice this week and they mentioned they don’t need anything but more time but it’s so discouraging the amount of time it takes to complete what it’s due to us and it’s unacceptable that they can’t communicate with us things are so bad in this world the people don’t even see it either they don’t have no money or the IRS has something bigger going on that they are dragging out these refunds it will soon be another year and I have never ever experience this ever I been on my job 8 years and to request information after the 20 weeks to restart is not right. The transcript codes are not updating at all. Just pay attention cause something isn’t right about it all.
I will say I regret that I didn’t call the advacate services last year they helped me but this year I listen to the lady of the irs saying don’t do it because it will slow down your progress but I know if I had do it I will have my money already in my account 😢😢😢
I got 3 letters saying the irs needs 60 additional day to review my return. I finally got my congressman involved and they contacted the Tax Advocate Service and they are the ones that actually told me that the irs didn't have my w-2 on file. That is the only way i found out what the problem was. I think ill get my refund on or around the 30th of August. I hope im in the 21st or 23rd payment release dates. It is truly ridiculous that the irs doesn't let the taxpayers know what the problem is.

On January I did my taxes and it was saying that I call after 2 months to the irs they told me to send it by mail I did and now I am till waiting I did my id twice and now they said to wait I don’t see anything wrong with my transcript I just think they are playing with my refund 😢

I originally contacted my congressman for help, the irs told them to give them 30 days to review my account. 30 days later they needed another week 😒 in which they said they’re still reviewing my account. Yesterday I called the number to schedule an appointment with a local irs office. The lady I spoke with reviewed my account to see if I qualify for an appointment and found that because we were way over the 120 days for irs to act, she put a notice on my account to release my refund or send me an action notice within 60 days. Now it wasn’t the urgency I wanted but it was something…. 🤞🏽so the new countdown begins day 59….
I just know that last year I got involved the advocate company they got my id letter in a week and my deposit in a week but I asked the irs this year if I should call them she said no because it was going to take longer now it been more then 3 months and till waiting 😢😢 I should never listen to them 😢😢
My haven’t changed since more then a month that I did my id verification and I had to do it twice because the letter only had 3 questions so I decided to call and I was correct I had to do it again by phone they said I was the third person with the same letter after that I got my transcript and I don’t see anything wrong they just said wait in till September but I don’t even know why and those people said the same thing I am tired I never had a problem 😢😢
I think it has to do with SSA having wages information. I was told they give employers up Sept 1st to report wages. SSA told me to call back after the 1st so I can provide the correct information to them.
I just checked the social security website and it doesn’t show any income for me for 2023. This is confusing as my w2 definitely had my social correctly.

I have received 3 letters from the IRS saying they need 60 days to review my return. They always say no more information is needed from me. I contacted my congressman and their office got the Tax Advocate Service involved and they found out that the irs didn't have my w-2 on file. I had to send in my last 3 paystubs with wages and withholding listed on them. They wouldn't take a copy of my w-2. That was weird. So now I just wait and see how long this takes. I don't understand why the irs didn't tell me in the first letter that they didn't have my w-2. If I hadn't got my congressman involved I probably wouldn't have found out what the problem was at all.
@Jose-od8ld yea I've been talking to them back an forth but different people keep handling my case I would say the only thing that changed was my code erased which was 152 and also received like 3 or 4 letters from irs I also had to do id which was never mentioned by irs until last month First they asked for pay stubs and a letter from my job And months later for the id me anyway not sure if getting senators office involved is helping but I've been waiting since Feb 5th
So what do you know about amended returns? Mine was adjusted and completed on July 26th and the original amendment date was March 13. I cant access my transcript online at all. Im currently getting the run around everytime i call the IRS and still no update on when ill have a refund date. how do I reach out to a state senator? That might be my best option at this point
@@phoebebufffaay9947 you need to Google who your congressman is in your precinct and send them an email explaining what is going on. That is what I did.
@blossom605 my congressman office got in touch with me the next day and they sent me the release forms to sign and fill out. They got the Tax Advocate Service involved within a week or two. I wouldn't have found out what the problem was without them being involved.
My return got accepted on Jan 29th. 3 letters saying that the IRS needs 60 days to review my return. Ive already got my refund from the state. I contacted my congressman and they got in touch wit the tax advocate service and they said the issue was that the irs didn't have my w-2 in their system. It took IRS 6 months to do ID verification on our taxes, but once that was completed our taxes were processed the next 3 weeks with the additional interested added to our refund. Be patient, they will come through!
I also had to amend my return and in my experience I had to wait the complete 16 weeks before it was updated to the second bar. An additional 3 weeks before it was completely adjusted. I'm currently still waiting with no refund date. Hope that helps

Has anyone had to verify their identity and had to go through facial recognition like I did ? I was told an additional 9 week waiting period after waiting 6 weeks already and that’s ran out and still nothing. Nobody will respond when we call their office. Can anyone help?
Maybe actually provide info on how to find out if we need to verify if the IRS isnt sending notices...like that would be helpful. How about telling us how to fix all these so called problems with returns you claim are out there
Screw tax codes because after 5 mo that I haven't had even one single update, not my "as of date", not a single code, no letters, no information from the IRS, and finally our congressman hasn't done a single thing for us because he is always out of the office I went 22 months from 2021-2022, then got this year 5 damn months with nada. No one even has a single answer for me and there ain't a darn thing I can do anymore. I give up on ever seeing this money.
What do I do if there are zero codes on my transcripts. How am I supposed to know when I'll even get mine. What do I do to know if I have errors when the IRS say NO ERRORS.
I verified my return then got a confirmation stating that I successfully verified my return but my transcript says no refund filed and there's an 810 freeze also when i check where's my refund itsays still processing

I'm under here because I was agreeing with them cause I too am waiting on my amended refunds. You see how that works!? 🤷🏽♀️
@@kevysworld8693 By you having an amended return means you have found an error after e-filing your return or that the IRS has already looked at your return and sent you a letter informing you to amend. If the later is true, then why would I want you amended return done before the IRS even looks at and completes MY original return? Do you see the logic? Its about the IRS completing returns in order and mines not even been touched

@Sinmaster1701 yea no. I received my refund love but other things came up so I went to my tax preparer to fix it which is why it had to get amended. Not the same love. Again what does somebody's comment thread have to do with you and your wants? You would've been better off making your own thread
IRS has been issued over 80 ml to help stop all the fraud but still cant get it right fire the top who is mis handling the system. Contact the legislation about the delay tactics .
Nvmind they lied, not even surprised lmao. Sent in amended return at first it said something different but now it’s just the same thing “refund not available ” thinking they can get away with doing people wrong. One thing tho karma will always get those kinds of people and I pray they get their stuff straight
