I feel like I was born in the wrong time. I want to own a new car in my life and the F Type was always one of my dream cars for that. Every car maker just goes electric
'A thing of beauty is a joy forever'. English poet ,John keats died 1821 in Rome of TB. Quite obviously, he couldn't be referring to an f type but nevertheless, the statement holds true for all things and for all times. In motor engineering, the f type is simply the most beautiful car ever made and the essence of English style. The accountant types at JLR have sacrificed beauty for net zero. Oh, by the way ,as predicted in 2007, we were all supposed to be under water by 2015, yet I'm still sitting in the back garden when it's sunny without having recourse to floating about on a lilo.
The rumour doing the rounda is that BMW and Toyota are keeping a VERY close watch on Jaguar and will move for it if they go belly up. Toyota would litteraly 'Kill' to own the jaguar brand. As for BMW -just look at how they elevated RR to such heights . Either one of these owners would take jaguar to the top. ❤❤
Okay, sounds like a bunch of malarky to me, but having Toyota at the helm would solidify Jaguar’s future for a long time if true. That would be welcome, as their current outlook is slightly questionable. BMW, yeah, that’s okay…Stay away please…
@@dlj1285 is there a single Toyota product that you would classify as attractive? My 14 year old 600hp Jag XKR with 213,000 miles on her still looks better and is more reliable than any Toyota product we've ever owned.
@@tedgeldberg6498 Guy, do you know how globalization works? It would be possible for Toyota to own Jaguar and not turn it into Toyota. And you’re not going to convince me ever that a Jaguar is more reliable than Toyota. I own both. I like both. For different reasons.
Well as owner of 2015 R RWD - there is no loud start with valves open, there is less overrun sound and burbles, but its more refined ride.. comfort and still plenty performance and one more thing - burnouts and tail happiness.. that's is gone here
@@javiermorales4228 your comment doesn't make sense anymore because blue collar workers make just as much as college graduates now. Go to a government department and get your CDL... Quit and then go drive for a private company and make $70,000
Once you have the opportunity to see the old car next to the new car side by side you will realize how dated the original car looks now. It’s staggering. Pictures and video do not do it justice. I saw this scenario at a dealer about a month ago. The new car looks way better all around.
@@Schaufelor Yeah, they did well with it for sure. I think half of the people out there going on about how they don’t like it are disgruntled current owners of the older car that don’t like how old and outdated this car makes theirs look…lol…I genuinely think that…Until I saw them in the flesh side by side like that, even I couldn’t quite appreciate how outdated the old car would look. I say this as someone who loves the original car also.
2:32 It's for coins, I would assume. Also, it's there so that the handbrake button groove is symmetrical. You forgot to showcase the climate control buttons, that you can push in to change what you're controlling (seat heating/cooling or the temperature). Other than that, nice video.
Thanks! Yeah, I tried it but I don't really like the look of it. What is the downside of filming it at regular fps except for maybe more motion blurriness?
If u love EVs, u should try the Porsche taycan EVs like taycan gts, it’s suprising fun to drive and its fast, but the turbo s and the turbo gt is even more fast and could be scarry to drive it.
575BHP from a supercharged engine that size isn’t really all that powerful! Germans and Italians usually can add another 100bhp on top of that with on electrical assistance!
Literally my dream car right here. I would’ve gotten it in the British racing green though. But everything else I would’ve kept the same. I daydream daily of a life where I’m completely comfortable financially and happy and free and own two cars with this exact Jaguar being one of them. It’s just a dream though sadly.
I think only about tree cars , mustang Shelby gt500, jaguar F-Type r, and BMW M5 touring for family. I want to have this tree im my garage. Just for me and next generation.
This car is awesome, love the engine too. However, with the new BMW G80 generation, and the new Supra GR, this car needs an update. The new BMW M3/4s are faster with less HP, and I bet that the Supra GR will give this car a run for it's money. It's using the same engine for years now. Got to update
First, where have you been, living under a rock? It’s not getting an update. Second, it’s fine. It’s a beautiful setup and proven. Change isn’t always good.
Yeah, sometimes with the really fast accelerating cars it happens. It wasn't that horribly fast, it's just a short moment of accelerating and my roads are mostly empty, but I've had some keyboard warriors in the comment section before... So I'm glad that blur function exists! ✌️😄
The transmission does indeed look like it could be a BMW unit. But that engine, isn't that the latest incarnation of the classic Jaguar V8 engine that was shared with Ford?
Go sit in one in person having the extended leather package and see if you feel the same. Lots of Internet jockeys out there making these assessments from afar.
@@leeK-s7i It’s just a suggestion. Having just bought a 2024 R myself with extended leather I’m sitting in there often thinking how nice it is. At the end of the day you’re entitled to your own opinion. Perhaps I’m easy to please…lol…Not sure…
Not sure. I've had several cars that open like this. Aston Martin DBX is the same. In case of the F-Type probably because the E-Type also opened that way?
What are the Land Rover people thinking??? No electric vehicles here, please 🙏 Gasoline ⛽️ engines forever ♥️ The sheer joy of driving any vehicle has to do with the motor. We all love motorized vehicles. Can we move on already and stop with this technology c*** ??? Every time I turn around, there's some new technological electronic piece of c*** cheaper way to manufacture a newfound way to get around, which is not dependable after all, technology has proven itself to be NOT dependable and more corruptible since the Inception of all digital products ...go find a chip replacement in a Auto Parts store, lol 😆
@@johnnypovdrives It’s special 75th anniversary final edition car. It is essentially the same car, just with some unique badging, and a few other touches.
