You are missing the point of a jeep grand Cherokee 4xe. I drive my overland off road on forest roads in BC there is no way a bmw could handle! Also the adaptive air suspension is excellent and smooth. It can also raise or lower the ride hight. If you plan on even mild off roading I would recommend it but might want to get extended warranty.
I have the 2024 4xE Anniversary Edition. With the electric motor, it's gonna cost a little more. I traded in my 2011 V8 GC Limited. With rebates and my state's rebates, the cost of the vehicle came down to about $50K for it. I typically get around 27 miles with electric range, but I have regenerative braking on, so the vehicle recharges itself when I'm on the highway (I mostly drive on the highway). I also use cruise control a lot on my drive. This has recharged my vehicle to max on my drives to and from work and as such has saved me a lot on gas. I average around 31mpg on the highway and in town, I'm strictly on electric. I also have a 2013 VW Jetta TDI also. I'm able to get around 46 mpg on the highway and 33 mpg in town, with a gas tank range of around 525 miles. The 4xe gets about equivalent range on one tank of gas to my TDI.
