My current bike got totaled last week. Driver of a SUV didnt look right before pulling directly in front of me. This is gonna be my next bike once I am healed up. I really appreciate you weighing all the factory stuff that came off. That weight savings is enough for me to want to get that swap done when I am able to start riding again. Thanks for a very informative and helpful video!
I’m sorry to hear about your accident but I am glad you are ok!!!! Rest up and heal!!! You are more than welcome and I hope you get the bike you want when you are ready to ride again!!!
I am 52 and just bought a 2023 ZX6R and love every minute of it added m4 exhaust puig windscreen frame sliders rear seat delete will upgrade chain and sprockets and exhaust next year and velocity stacks and clutch and brake leavers and block off plates and insane tune why spend 3500 now. So I can enjoy it this year then full boat next season oh and I use Amsoil and factory filter
You are doing a heck of a lot more to your bike than I ever want to do to my bike. Just doing small things and I'm curious does getting aftermarket velocity stacks have any benefit to someone like me who isn't even doing much to their bike.
I installed this exact exhaust on my 23 zx6r based on this video, i like the exhaust, its quite a bit louder than the stock. i used the baffle though, i will eventually upgrade to a better exhaust but for now this works fine to get rid of the huge stock exhaust
I would DEFINITELY have that ecu flashed now, can almost guarantee you it's starving for fuel! Another way they get them to pass emissions, they run super lean from the factory.
Thanks a ton!!! It's nice to be heard now. Hahahaha. Now to decide what full system I want to go with because the ECU restrictions on this thing are crazy.
@@moto.dad8 hey sir, I am in no way associated with them but I have to point you in the direction of 2WheelDynoWorks in Washington state. Look them up in the web for their flash services. They build these flashes with incredible attention to detail, they are the only tuning shop I trust to touch my H2. She has about 274 hp to the wheel right now. :))) tell Nate that Sebastian pointed you in his direction for an ecu flash, you will get the good guy discount brother! Please look them up, you won’t be sorry!
@@moto.dad8 I love the M4 full system on my hat machine, price is great and the hp numbers are as good as any out there. You can see the numbers 2wheel makes on their RU-vid channel. Again, not affiliated, just a good friend of the owner Nels and I would be remiss if I didn’t point you in their direction. Trustworthy bunch with very fair pricing.
I have already looked into them and they are on my short list. I also my take my bike to Chris Moore (he's only 3 hours from me) and have him put it on the dyno for me. If I don't go with him, I'll definitely hit up 2WDW and Nate (I've talked to him a bit on FB). Thank you for the help and I'll be sure to drop your name if I go that route.
I dig the M4 but I want something different. Well, let me say they don't call to me when I see them on the bikes. There is a company in Thailand that makes full titanium systems I'm thinking of going with but until I figure it out, I'll rock this el' cheapo slip on, LOL.!
Idk if it is Fake Sc project. But if this is the Real one. This is not eBay cheat stuff. This is Italian little Factory. Where everything is made by order handly
If I was staying with just a slip on I may have went that route. But I plan on going full system over the winter so I didn’t want to drop $400 only to drop another 1-2K this winter.
The links I had are no longer working (it's been a while since it was bought). I just searched for "slip on exhaust 2024 ZX6R" then I checked reviews. If there are a lot of complaints of parts not fitting, I find a seller with better reviews. Hope that helps and congrats on the new bike!
It's just a eBay cheap one. Just search your bike on there and dozens will pop up. Read reviews and question on the products to make sure it will fit yours.
Got the same exact exhaust as you, just installed it and I have a slight exhaust leak going from the cat into the link pipe, did you have any problem with any leakage? I got the clamp pretty tight but might have it on wrong. Just curious but it sounds so good for the price so I’m happy
Just go to your favorite parts store (online or in person) and look for a servo buddy. I got mine from Revzilla but a lot of places have them. The '23 will fit if it doesn't say '24 on it.
I bought an ebay exhaust similar to this one. Was wondering if you have any exhaust leaks? I have to use a little bit of gasket sealer to close it up a little
Hey do you know the size of the opening of the connecting pipe to the catalytic converter? Would previous generation mid pipe/ link pipes fit? I know a few previous exhaust fit not sure of the link pipe though
No check engine light at all. I am waiting for verification from YT for my links to be clickable in the description. I got the servo buddy from Sportbike Track Gear though!
It sounds good. I assume it's exhaling easier (with less backpressure) now. So don't you need to recalibrate the air/fuel ratio (or retune it somehow) now?
With it being just a slip on and the cat still intact, it runs just fine without a tune. It still has the same flat spots in the rev range as stock. Once I go full system, I will get the ECU tuned for the mods.
Can you please check if theres a timer function on that new dash? Some of the previous gen zx6r’s used the flash to pass button to trigger it. There are kits to turn this into an oem gps laptimer. Just curious before i buy the new zx6r?
I don’t have that specific link any more but if you go on eBay and search your bike and just enter “slip on exhaust”, you will see an array of options.
@@lucas.310 I really appreciate you watching. I just uploaded a new video showing a TST integrated tail light and a fender eliminator if you want to check it out! Thank you very much for watching and commenting!!!
I am sure you could, however there would be no resistance on the cables which may still trigger a CEL. I am not for sure on that though. For the price of a servo buddy (like $65 bucks), I just went that route. If you try it out let me know how it goes!!!
Most modern sport bikes have them (probably others too). It's just a valve that regulates the amount of exhaust gas that is allowed to flow. The servo motor is what was under the seats. That operates the cables that operate the valve on the stock exhaust.
Yes, the only thing different on the 2024 is the front fairing/headlights and TFT display. The engine and mechanical parts are the same as 19-23 I believe.
What's the servo buddy for and where would I get it? I'm trading in my 2023 400 se for this same bike and I'll be putting a slip on on the bike as well. I'm new to bikes so sorry if this is a stupid question. I'd like to get the same exhaust. I jave a leo vince on my 400 atm. That was a way simpler install.
There is a valve in the stock exhaust (where the two cables run) that opens and closes based on the ECU programming. If you just remove the cables and motor, it will make the check engine light come on. The servo buddy keeps that from happening. It's better to flash the ECU but this works until you can get that done. I got mine from www.sportbiketrackgear.com (you have to put the year in as a 2023 since they don't have 2024 up yet but it fits all the same).
@@moto.dad8 thanks alot I'm going to the dealer tommorow to check out their zx6rs. I wish I could put the leo on it but as far as I've researched you need to get a mid pipe welded custom for it. I'm going to look around a bit more for sure though.
I hear you there bro, I had a Leo Vince on my '17 R6 and I loved it. I am thinking of going with a full graves system since they offer titanium full systems. I like the Akra look but I'm not paying $1600+ for SS when I can get titanium for $1900. Let me know what you go with bro! I hope you get you one of these, they are awesome!
@@moto.dad8 ya that's a lot of money for just an exhaust. I don't care about performance gains either tbh. I just want it to sound nice because well its baddass and I'm less likely to get hit if people hear me haha.
I am with you on that. I'm not so worried about HP gains but I don't like the flat spots from the factory. I am going to go with a full system and ECU flash once I figure out which one I want. With my slip on, I can feel the power cutting at certain RPMs in different gears a lot more than with the stock exhaust. These ECUs come so restricted that once you get a flash, you will wonder how you ever road with those stock settings. Even if you aren't worried about top end speed, I'd still recommend getting your ECU flashed.
Hi, your bike is lean due to EPA, and now more lean with the open muffler, so the engine get hotter and hotter. I don’t understand why do you make modifications if you don’t know what are you doing. You got sound and you kill the engine. Also the servo buddy eliminator is 30$, why did you pay double price for it? Enjoy your bike, flash your ECU before you cook the engine with your incompetence
your voice over the video is really low you should increase the volume for your videos like this. i had to stop everything in the background to be able to listen to you.

I really appreciate that!!!! They are from Factory Effex. The Kawasaki one is linked in the description on my LinkTree. The RST mat came from The Visor Shop in the UK (online order).
I don't have the link anymore, but it was on eBay. Just search pipes for your specific bike. May have to check often as they come and go on there all the time.
I have the 2021 zx10r with the real SC project, that cost me about a stack & 3 weeks for shipping,I can tell you right now sc project don’t even make link pipes that curl like that🤣🤣🤣everything they got is pretty much straight pipe,I would definitely recommend you stop being cheap n get the real deal, mines is flashed with the pops & bangs so believe me it definitely shots flames
Hi I followed your video and the replacement of a part of the exhaust with a connecting pipe between collectors and terminal I mount Akrapovic terminal can it go well on mine and if please send me the link where to buy it Thanks Fulvio
With the cat still intact, there is no need for a tune although the bike is lacking from the factory. It still has the same flat spots that it did with the stock exhaust.
Im really on edge with either going for the krt or black 2024 zx6r. I really like the belly fender on the 2021 version. I wonder if it’s compatible with the 2024 version. Most likely not, haven’t seen anyone do it.
Can you post a pic of what you are talking about on the belly? I personally liked the livery on the 22 KRT better than the 23 and 24. However, the front end redesign is what sold me on the 24. Thanks for watching and commenting, I really appreciate it!!!
Do you have the name and serial number of that exhaust ? Also what is that servo you were talking about and why did u take it off ? Just bought the same bike and need more sound to it as well
It is just a cheap, eBay slip on exhaust. The servo is for the stock exhaust. I removed mine and added the servo buddy for weight savings and space under the rear seat.
I dont understand people buying nice motorcycles and then put cheap fake parts on it. Next buy the cheapest oil and tyres and dont get the full potential. It even have the fake Sc project name. 🤦
It’s a piece of metal going from the cat to air. If you want to spend $400 plus on a slip on then another $1600+ for a full system later, go ahead. I’ll rock my cheap slip on until I decide what full system to get. If you read the description, I never said it's a cheap slip-on. I'm not trying to say it's real or a great exhaust either. I am saying that it's a better alternative than the stock can and cheaper than a M4 slip-on, especially for those going with a full system down the road. As for oil and tires, I run Kawasaki oil and Dunlops (once these Pirellis are used up). Thanks for watching though and have a great day!!!
Thanks!!!! There is always at least one person who feels the need to get on their soapbox and say something. Those same people are the one who buy cheap internal parts that make a difference (spark plugs, coil packs, etc) because they think no one will notice. I'll spend my money on things that matter, not a slip on. LOL
I dont get it why people don't understand its his Motorcycle he can put anything the Fvck he want on it... Right Boss..?? Great Video.. Fvck those People... 😅
