My wife and I bought a '24 Telluride with front wheel drive 6 months ago and have put 12,000 miles on it, NEVER once have I had any issues with wheel spin including putting it in sport mode and getting on it pretty good. All wheel drive is more expensive, heavier which means slower acceleration, and lowers gas mileage. It is only necessary if you live in an area that receives winter weather regularly which living in metro Atlanta we don't. I love driving this car and have had no issues with it whatsoever (knock on wood) I would highly recommend to anyone in the market for a midsize SUV
My 2nd day of owning a Telluride I hit the gas like I do in my other cars and the tires slipped. This thing has a good amount of power but I just needed to learn how to throttle it. It's an S model with FWD.
@rhuynh I was able to get the 2024. They still have 2023 ones new as well. But we just lucked out and got a chance to snag a 2024 still at the kia factory. Hasn't even shipped yet to our kia dealer.
@rhuynh yeah lol. Here we have 1 single kia dealership and the telluride is almost impossible to get. So they def wanted tried. They have only had 2 2024s to hit the lot and 1 sold and the other sold while I was looking at it😂. But we got lucky cuz they had 1 actually shipping from the kia factory . We got lucky the one coming was a s with all the extra bells and whistles on it. I believe after all add ons we ended up paying 3k ish over msrp. But honestly I totaled my last truck...so we don't have a vehicle and feel in love with the one that sold on lot. And it being the 2024 we knew it was gonna be hard to get our hands on another. So...we just took the small loss. I didn't want a 2023 if I could get the 2024 straight from the factory. Not a car guy by any means or do I know all the loop holes....so to get the vehicle me and my wife really wanted with having kids....we took the small over pay. Plus...honestly the kia dealership was by far the most chill down to earth ppl and after looking for like 2 months ...we weren't gonna pass it up, even had the kia guy message me and show me someone tried to out bid us😂. But he turned them down.....so all in all...were happy
I’m pretty sure this is a 2023 model. I just got a 2024 and the reverse lights are no longer part of the taillights, they’re separate and at the lower part of the bumper.
Great review thank you. I just purchased a brand new 2024S model with a lot more bells and whistles as you suggested. They make a huge difference. I am extremely disappointed however, in the front wheel drive. Our other vehicle is a Lincoln aviator with four-wheel-drive that is far more secure Than is this very easy to spin 2 Wheel Front Dr. I would never recommend the front drive to anybody on this car. Very disappointed in Howard‘s driving from that perspective. Because the wheel spin at the slightest touch of the Excelerator. I can’t believe that it’s even safe to drive that way. otherwise I love it. I also really miss the heads up display that we have on the Lincoln. It would’ve cost $5000 more to get a heads up display on a telluride for some reason.
This will forever be a gripe of mine with this car......how can they make a car so stylish, sporty, and sleek......AND NOT GIVE IT PADDLE SHIFTERS????? But then they put paddle shifters in the hyundai palisade (which is the telluride's equivalent for Hyundai) And that thing doesnt look sporty at all whatsoever.....
