RR or RTR310 has better electronics but, engine is not at all smooth as KTM. I have ridden both BS4 and BS6 310's. BS6 is quite smoother than BS4 but still, they have lot of room for improvement. Not sure about RTR 310. Also, TVS do not sell 310's in every showroom. That the main drawback. They are fooling people with thier service concept. Engine oil change at Every 10k kms or yearly once. But, there is basic routine checkup at every 6 months once just to check brake pad thickness, engine oil level, coolant level etc for which they charge 600-800rs. At the end of the day, 310's will also end up visiting service center like KTM'S. Difference is, KTM recomends to change oil, filter etc every 6 months. TVS, yearly once. Plastic quality is good on RR310 but, i have few observation. Paint strated to peel off from front brake oil tank, front suspension and Switches marking (high beam, pass light marking). So it has to be improved.
To all those calling this bike as Chapri, we are in India. Mass population. Price sensitive market. If they brings any product at compitative price, it will be purchased by all types of ppls. Ex:, KTM. If it is priced abnormally, we call it not worth. Ex: Kawasaki In India every bikes are ridden by chapris. From 90cc bikes to 1000cc. If we keep on calling chapri for every bike, we will be not able to enjoy any products. Just purchase what your heart says, ride responsibly. Forget what ppls call it. DUKE 390 is one of the marvelous engineerd single cylinder bike. It has changed the Indian biking history. If we see, each and every products are ridden by chapris. R15, MT15, all pulsar series, Domis, ALL RE bikes, Scooters, Used Benelli bikes. Guys, infact used BMW, Merc, Audis are also purchased in used car market at very low price and they are driven by chapris. Does that mean, BMW, AUDI is chapri car ?
There's a lot of confusion whether the new version weighs 35 pounds more than the old. Some videos say the new version is lighter, but many people are saying the new version is heavier...

Bs3 390 goes 0 to 150 in 16 sec Bs6 goes the same speed in 20 sec The 2024 duke goes 150 in 15 sec The winner is 2024 then after 1st service this bike shall smoke bs3.
Hi, I know this is the best single cylinder bike. I am fan boy of 2-4 cylinder bikes due to exhaust, my usage is mainly on city. Which would you suggest between speed 400 vs duke390 vs SRK400
There is no valid reason today for a newly engineered motorcycle to suffer noteworthy vibration. It is either a horrendous engineering screw up, or a quality control issue in manufacturing.
test ride bikes or sell back to customers at lower price as these are professionaly used many customers will buy at huge discount of anywhere 30-40percent
But seat height of this 3rd gen 390 is reduced to 800mm. I ride Yamaha fz25 whose seat height is 795mm. My height is also 5'5. I am mostly comfortable except toe touching when potholes come. I don't use high heels shoes. So it should not be a problem.
Reliability depends on usage and maintenance. I have D390 BS4. Bike has done 49500kms. Stock valve clearance, stock fuel pump. Clutch has been changed after 40k kms. Chain changed thrice. 3rd set of tyres. Cone set changed once. Coolant changed twice. Bike performing good.
In KTM lineup, 250 is most refined engine. 390 is not really smooth. But comparing with BS3, it is super refined. Since it is bigger single cylinder engine, you should expect some vibration but they are not deal breaker or as vibey as RE or TVS RR310. Vibration are on footpeg and handle bar after 7k rpm. Not on the seat. With proper gears like gloves and riding shoes, you can get rid of vibration.
