*We all still waiting for a KTM RC690 to take on the likes of RS660 - R7 - CBR650R - Daytona660* & maybe a RC690R to compete with R6 - CBR600RR & ZX-6R since that category is making a strong comeback.
I agree that KTM needs a RC690. They could probably use a sleeved-down version the 790cc motor from the adventure bike to make it work. The RCR 990 will be the supersport bike to race against the R6/ZX-6R/CBR600RR/Panigale V2/MV Agusta F3 800 and Triumph Street Triple 765 RS.
Thanks Greg. Unfortunately, no IOM for me this year. Hopefully again next year, but we'll see. It was mega hard watching it all unfold and not being there!
@@renniescaysbrook2904 oh that’s a shame and I bet! Fingers crossed you make it next year and, if you do, my son and I will be watching! He races 600’s at club level and would love to try the Manx. I’m more nervous about him doing it for obvious reasons but I absolutely love the event. Cheers for replying!!
Depends. Yes, it's expensive, but it's got the best possible components, it's exclusive AF and I'd wager 98 percent of the world's riders would go faster on this than they would on a superbike.
@@cyclenews I think 98% of the worlds riders would do just as well on a Panigale V2 or even a GSX-R 750 for a small fraction of the price. A bike like this defines the law of diminishing returns.
