The licensed Pagain Huayra 1:8 is set 97900 (or 97910 with motors) from Rastar. It was released back in 2020 already. Rastar has quite a few licensed cars with amazing quality.

I agree with your thoughts, with Lamborghini, Ferrari, Porsche, and even Bugatti done, McLaren seems to be the next supercar

maserati seems like another good and famous brand that have good cars for 1:8 scale like mc12

The Solus would be great, but my pick would be the Elva. Especially as Lego does not do windshields for their Technic-sets, why not pick an Ultimate-line car without one. However, as a McLaren-fan I would be happy with any pick they make, as long as it is in 1:8 Technic-scale.

To be honest, I hope the next 1:8 supercar will not be a McLaren because Lego already did so many McLaren sets recently and there will be two new Lego Technic McLaren sets in 2024. The 1:8 McLaren would not be refreshing. I think the next 1:8 scale supercar could be a Lotus car. Lotus Evija is an impressive car, but I think Lego won't choose that model for two reasons: 1. The Evija is not that new, it was first unveiled in 2019. 2. The new gearbox pieces were introduced in the recent Lego Technic Yamaha motorcycle. I bet the next 1:8 scale Lego Technic supercar will use those new gearbox pieces. Electric cars like Lotus Evija don't use gearboxes. Therefore, I think Lego might choose the Lotus Emira. According to Wikipedia, it was presented at Good Festival of Speed in 2021. And according to Wikipedia, the Lotus Emira GT4 was introduced in 2023. It has a new gearbox and enhanced aerodynamics. Also, Lotus main colour is yellow, which means we might get a yellow 1:8 scale supercar. So, I think the 1:8 scale Lego Technic supercar coming in 2024 might be a Lotus Emira GT4. The set mostly going to be a successor to the Lego Technic Porsche 911 GT3 RS from 2016. But it is very likely that I might be wrong.

I really hope it will be Koenigsegg. Id be first in line. i could see what you mean about the cc850 and i know these 1:8 sets are usually a more up to date car, but i believe it could be the Agera or the one:1 as well.

I suspect Aston Martin Valour or Ford mustang darkhorse as the 2024 one. Valour revealed this year with the V12 engine and 6 speed manual gearbox and is the Aston Martin's 110th anniversary model. Mustang darkhorse revealed as the speed champion set like bugatti chiron. Some people are tired to see the common midship layout supercar, so lego must have developed the Front engine layout car with the new gearbox system, using the parts from Yamaha motorbike set . Of course So many Mocers created the front engine type car moc like BMW M4, Audi rs6 and the others, but the gear box from them is tend to be deleted for RC function or located in front of the rear axle, so I really wish Lego made the 'realistic' front engine drivetrain with the new gearbox that is located behind the engine.

Aston Martin Valhalla has some cool doors, would be nice to see that. I guess yellow is a possible color.

for me the most likely car is going to be the lotus evija because lego already had a lotus evija speedcampion and it would fit the color yellow very well

My idea is that it might be a yellow Aston Martin vantage or a C8 Corvette or a Acura NSX or a very unlikely car but a jaguar XJ220 would be nice.

Another thought; with the Dune Ornocopther comjng out and the Tumbler recently updated; why not go for a fictional car this time? Would be insane if they went for f.e. the Quadra V-tech from Cyberpunk 2077 or the Peugeot from Blade Runner 2049. Both would look absolutely stunning in Technic-form imho

Technic(ally) the Porsche, Bugatti and Lamborghini are all owned by VW, so they already have a fair share of the 1:8 cars. So while there is not an Audi hyper car, there is no need for one, as the parent company has several and just hasn't branded one of them as an Audi. And lets be honest, 911 GT3 RS is not a hyper car, super car at best, and the R8, RS7 would give it a run for its money.

You mentioned some great options with mclaren, but i don't think they would go for Mclaren as we got the F1 car a while back, i was reading through the commets and i saw someone mentioning Maserati. I think the Maserati MCXtrema would suit this 1:8 scale 100%

honestly i hope its not the speedtail, its a cool car but i dont think it will translate well into lego, i for one would like to see koenigsegg but i doubt that will ever happen.

I think it could be a lotus not a McLaren because McLarens mane colour is orange and the Porsche was orange and astin martin there mane colour is green and the lambo Sian was green but lotus has a main colour is yellow well a common colour for lotus
