Thank you *SO* much for mentioning that the 550h+ is a little bit quicker to 60 mph (17:36). I've been asking every reviewer to comment on that and you're the first ones to answer my question. Sincerely, thank you 🙂 Question - at 20:09 you mention the piped-in engine sound. Can that be turned off somewhere in the Settings menu? I sure hope so.

Idc for massaging seats personally (though I can see why some people like them) and I wouldn’t want a Type-S MDX anyways as those low-profile tires will go flat easily. I rly like the normal MDX but Acura needs to give it a hybrid powertrain with close to 400hp (to improve fuel mileage and add to the fun).

The X5 is a nice-looking suv. I thought of getting one. But, according to youtube car experts, X5 has many problems once the warranty expires, like oil,coolant leak, and electronic infotainment issues. It's very expensive to repair and low resale value.

Hello gentlemen. Good review video for the 2024 Lexus TX 500H F Sport. With this vehicle, Lexus definitely made an emphasis on overall interior space for sure. Interior space for storage, comfort and cargo. This 500H F Sport model also has good performance numbers as well. From 0-60 in less than 7 seconds is pretty quick for a vehicle of this size. Based on the comments I've seen for this video, some said that this vehicle is a little too pricey. Lexus could've thrown in four or five more features due to this price point. Four or five more features that are missing, which are found on a vehicle I got not too long ago. Three months ago back in July, I got the 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L in the Summit Reserve trim with the 5.7 liter V8 engine. Features on my vehicle that's not on the Lexus TX 500H F Sport include the following: 1. Massaging front seats 2. Front seats thigh extender 3. Adjustable air suspension 4. Interior camera 5. Night vision camera 6. Exposed bumper integration exhaust tips 7. Besides power folding 3rd row seats, there's power folding 2nd row seats as well 8. Built-in towing package

@CK-1000 Thank you. With the air suspension on my vehicle, it drives like you're driving on a cloud. As for the Lexus TX 500H F Sport, like what both of us said Lexus should've thrown in few more features for the price point of the vehicle. They should've done it because the TX is a new SUV model in the lineup and it replaces the third row seating RX 350L. I assume Lexus might throw in few of the M.I.A. features we mentioned during a mid-cycle refresh for this TX. Let's see what happens.

@naveenthemachine I don't know what Lexus was thinking. It appears they put too much focus on getting overall interior space while forgetting about comfy features. Out of the eight features found on my vehicle and MIA on the Lexus TX 500H F Sport, Lexus could've at least included three of them. They could've included massaging front seats, adjustable air suspension system and a built in towing package. At least those three they could've included, but didn't do it. I assume maybe, just maybe the top performing TX 550H plug in hybrid with the 3.5 liter V6 might have those features. Let's see what they will include for that particular model when it arrives in either January or February.

The standard (non premium) 500h f sport is $72k, that's not a bad value for what it offers. Undercuts the X7 and GLS by quite a bit and is only marginally more expensive than the other non-German "rivals" from Volvo Infiniti and Acura. I say that in quotes bc the XC90 Qx60 and MDX are quite a bit smaller than the TX500 and less powerful

Guys, I hope you get a chance to compare this to the MDX Type S. I'm not surprised that this TX feels quicker what with all the electric torque. I think that the Type S is a bit quicker in the 1/4 mile though (14.1 @ 100 mph, vs 14.3 @ 98 mph for the Grand Highlander Hybrid Max, or essentially the same - these #'s are all from Car & Driver, but tested by different people on different days). But basically they are both properly quick compared to others in the segment (except of course for the X7 with the V8 and other high performance and higher $$ vehicles.)

Damn. The only thing holding me back is that it doesn't have air suspension compared to its closest rivals: xc90 and mdx s type. The cabin space feels incredibly spacious when you step inside compared to those, and the DB reading is great. I also prefer its screen. It feels like it's integrated well and the right size.

Does the engine or regenerative braking charge up the electric battery? Or does the battery only charge up through the plug?

How did you guys find this to ride compared to the normal 350 (I know you said both are very good as expected)? Also I’m curious how the normal NX rides compared to the F-Sport one (in comfort mode btw the car will never be in sport). My grandpa is in the market for a new Lexus so I want to know weather you found the regular NX to have better ride quality or the F-Sport?

Not worth 78k but it's nice! I love the space. I currently have an MDX and I can already tell this is a bigger SUV for sure. Wouldn't pay no more than 70k for this. The market is still very inflated and the MDX Type S shouldn't be more than 70k as well.

@@bradleyscarreviews The MDX Type-S is awesome but I would keep it away from bad roads as those low-profile tires go flat easily. That’s why when we were in the market we got a normal MDX as our car usually spends more time on bad roads then good. Massaging seats don’t matter to us as we don’t like them so we are very pleased with our vehicle.

The Lexus TX was made by Toyota, only slightly better than the Grand Highlander to reduce markups on those. Same for Honda making the Acura Integra being only slightly better, if better at all, than the Civic Si to reduce Si markups. This also goes for the Type S to reduce Type R markups. Both Honda and Toyota didn’t want to spend too much on their anti-markup clones so they can make profit off of people who buy the luxury versions of marked-up cars. Is this some kind of new anti-markup strategy by Japanese brands in North America?

Have to disagree with you. Test drove the TX 500h and the grand highlander. The TX was miles in terms of luxury, ride quality and refinement. That being said, the TX 350 was not even close to the 500h either on the ride quality part. The 350 is 69K though.

Th MDX has a better exterior much nicer interior more features and a more sophisticated suspension setup and a turbo v6 Whereas the tx has the same suspension system as a Camry / rav4 both of which are sub 30k cars and this car costs more than twice that. Combine that with a cheap interior, useless tech, boring to drive very slow, has no features and the fact that it’s way overpriced

I’m looking at the highest end Acura MDX (have had three), the Q7, the TX 500h F sport, and the BMW X7. The German cars (I’ve owned both brands) are good cars but maintenance is quite expensive and depreciation is terrible. The Acura and Lexus have respectable depreciation. The new type s MDX gets kinda poor gas mileage and still has the tiny third row. The Lexus TX (never owned this brand) has the huge third row, can fold down to carry massive amounts of stuff, is whisper quiet (as are the others), has the 4 cylinder engine (really?)bolstered by Toyota’s famous and bullet proof hybrid drivetrain (but weighs 6700 pounds meaning tires will wear quicker). But I have to admit that I feel better about 27-28 mpg when it comes to hydrocarbon usage. I own an Audi electric, a Hyundai ionic 5 electric and a hybrid Gord truck, so the TX seems like it would fit in the stable better. But I just don’t know because all of the cars in thus segment are pretty nice.

For people saying it's pricey, it is compared to old car prices. But let's remember how ridiculous they are. A Camry is a $50k car now, and a 911 4S is $230k. Compared to other new car prices, this is actually pretty good, considering the German counterparts are pushing $100k

It’s not that much I just went on the Lexus website but it is about 75,000 for the TXF sport it is worth it because it has adaptive variable systems hi Navy vet here with an engineering background one of my favorite hobbies is to review luxury cars that I can’t afford to buy fortunately my friend is a manager at the Las Vegas dealership and let me test drive them every six months and all I have to do is write a six page report it’s the next best thing to owning one. I am a minister if people see me owning a Lexus, people on the congregation will start talking g

We have a new MDX (owned it for a year) and love it but I wish it was a hybrid ngl. We ended up getting a normal Advance as the Type-S has those silly low-profile tires that go flat easily and we drive on bad roads.

I’d have to agree with you. I don’t like the normal TX much as it’s missing 2 cylinders imo but I rly like this PHEV one. I’ll take it over a MDX and the Germans. If Acura were to make a hybrid version of the new MDX though, it’d def be by favorite thing in the segment.

While I think it is overpriced, people spread their finances thin (which is often why people lease). Lexus will not be able to keep any TX model on the lot for more then a couple days. These are the 'hotcakes' that jump off the frying pan. With that said, IMO NEVER buy the first model year of a car unless you like to be a Lexus beta-tester. Let others pay $$$ to Lexus to test the car. 2nd, 3rd and last model year of a car are usually the best times to buy.

@@Lucky-gk7ez Incorrect. I supervise 50+ people making less than $60K/year. Over 1/2 drive a car 3 years or newer and 80% of them lease. Wealthy people lease because then own a business that can write-off the car. Most in middle management lease (those under 40 yrs old) because they don't think about saving for retirement. Wealthy retired folks own.

It has adaptive dampers, Lexus doesn't use a ton of air suspension. Only cars that had it were the GX with rear air springs, the LX, and the LS. All the other cars have adaptive dampers in F-sport trim.

@@LoneWolfSparty the grand Cherokee still handles better than the tx because it’s RWD based. Despite being heavy it’s better balanced than the TX. Not to mention the Jeep has a double wishbone front suspension

Biggest gripe is the design. Aside from the size, it really lacks presence for something that carries the Lexus badge and is this expensive.

I went and saw the cx90 and the TX last Saturday. They can’t even compare, the TX is so much more luxurious, comfortable, intuitive, and high tech. Well worth the price, I was really impressed.

The MDX needs a hybrid powertrain with close to 400hp. It’ll improve fuel mileage and add to the fun. I also want those low-profile tires that go flat easily on the MDX Type-S gone as that should not be a concern on a family vehicle.

Warning!!! Don’t buy any new Lexus with the mark levinson!!! It will shut down on you when you listen to any song with a strong bass!! Lexus speaker had been known to being blown up , so they but in this shut off fuse to fix the problem. Putting a bandage on an open cut !!! I’m going through it with Lexus now with my 2023gx. Lexus customer service is the worst service ever!!!!!

X5 has no 3rd row and inferior seats/legroom. The GX is an awesome vehicle but dated. If I was in the segment personally this would be my pick (or a MDX if they ever made it hybrid).

I would take this TX over all of those. The BMWs will have inferior seats and legroom. The Volvo will have inferior seats and reliability. The Mazda is a great option but not my preference as it’s more sport oriented while the MDX and TX are more luxury oriented. The MDX would be my personal preference in the segment if it was hybrid but sadly it’s not so TX for the win. MDX Type-S also has low-profile tires that go flat easily which is why I’d prefer to have a normal MDX personally.

@@kromahj from the pictures I've seen, the Grand Cherokee Summit has a REALLY nice interior. I highly doubt it'll have the reliability of an Acura or Lexus though. If reliability wasn't a concern for me, I'd honestly just get a Mercedes-Benz GLE450.

The Germans cars are much better choice.They drive much better,Moore luxurious….and same price like Lexus!!! Tru is Toyota-Lexus are Moore reliable.If you need car or if you change car every 6,7 ..years bay upscale Toyota with Moore expensive plastics inside.If you change ,lease car every 2-4 years than Mercedes,Audi,BMW is the place to spend money.To avoid future problems with Moore complex and technology advance-vehicles -lease is the best,you will be Moore happy with your car experience.Germans they know how to make great vehicles.

German cars aren’t the same price lol. This thing is the same size as a BMW X7 and that starts at 81K. You can get a TX 500h luxury (the top one) for 77k.
