How’s your gas mileage on it? Being a performance hybrid I wouldn’t expect it to be GH Hybrid good but some of forums complain about not getting the advertised 27mpg

@@Unkn0wnAzn i get 24.5 mpg. I think the number will go up as time went on. I'll keep u posted. For me its not the mpg thats matter much, its the engine longevity since i have a short commute to work (5miles)

If only the base powertrain for the TX was the previous Gen RX 450h v6 hybrid. That would have been a much better setup. And over 300 horsepower too.

I had the last gen... this new RX is better, its got instant torque, that 406 ft/lbs is way better than the V6.. You hardly notice its a 4cyl when driving... I love my new RX its very smooth and quiet, and I can pass 2 cars super fast... someone did a review and said from 40 mph to 60 mph it was as quick as a golf R.. The mark levinson will blow your ear drums also, it cranks... I think its one of the best cars I have owned, and this being said after coming from my last 2 cars being E class mercedes ... drive one, and you will like it.

Agreed on all points. If Lexus already scrimped with the exterior changes, they should have really spiffed up the interior. The 350h with standard eAWD should also have been the base trim.

My wife was all in on this car as our next car. I just spent the last week convincing her to by the Toyota Grand Highlander instead saying that it's the same car with the better drive train (for the same price).

No, they didn’t. The interior feels very nice in person. Is it luxurious inside? it’s not. It’s still put together beautifully and the quality is there. The grand Highlander is a joke compared to this inside. There is no comparison.

I saw one in person. The third row is so good that if you have a family of six, this is an absolutely awesome choice.

Kia Hyundai are fools gold my friend. Yes they have incredible modern designs, but it’s hiding the lack of quality materials that they actually use in their interiors.

you think it has a lot of plastic but it doesnt really... its not competing with a GLE or X5... its a lower segment, and if you think it has a lot of plastic you should look at a highlander... Way more plastic. The G70 is a cheaper interior than the RX, and the G80 is much higher end than the G70, and similar size to this TX, and is very nice... I did compare them both when buying my RX500h... The G80 has plastic too believe it or not... even a GLE mercedes has plastic here and there... The $20k difference is a big much maybe... I say 3k for interior, 3k for sound system, 2k for all wheel steering... plus some other goodies maybe another 3k.... so in reality I think the new RX and TX are a bit overpriced.. by maybe 5k on the RX and 10k on the TX..

Turns out opening doors in parking spots, folding 2nd row seats with booster seats, or if you have captain seats like in this model assisting children in back rows is extremely cumbersome and gets old. It's also much more inconvenient for getting in/out for them. You also get more depth in the cargo area for strollers with a minivan. I also have experience with this from owning an MDX previously with 3 children. Yeah, SUVs are not much of an ultimate family hauler while the minivan is still in this world. Did you know I bet you the people (women) who say they don't want a minivan and discount them haven't even attempted to test drive their practicality. Have you even tried it? My wife has no regrets with her Odyssey and talks about how great it has been since we purchased it 3.5 years ago. All the while she complained for years about the SUV family experience when we had that. Not a peep in 3.5 years but rather constant gratitude. No to mention the price has held up quite well from $50K to $37K in depreciation. So yeah you please go ahead and continue with your condescending "education." Guarantee I have much more "family" experience and wisdom in this matter than you.

@@watchfalcon122 well I agree with you 100% we have four kids who are adults now but when they were younger, we drove a 2005 Toyota sienna purchased new for 14 years. Did everything exactly like you said. The sliding doors prevented the kids from smashing other cars. It was the champion of holding car seats. We could remove the middle row and fold the rear seat flat and hold plywood and sheet, rock and furniture and seemingly the whole world. So yes, the minivan was fantastic when the kids were younger. Once we stopped having to transport for children and immediately became very tiring to own. It rattled after a while. The motor was underpowered from day one and was calibrated for fuel economy, but it never got outstanding MPG although it was pretty good for such a big vehicle. The rear end jumped over bumps the whole thing shuttered it handled like a boat. There are pros and cons to everything. If you have four more kids, I would recommend a minivan if you don’t I would go with a decent size SUV. We have owned a number of SUVs since we retired the minivan and they are quieter quicker handle much better and are just much more comfortable than a minivan ever was. So yes if you have say two kids and if you have the money, I would 100% get Lexus SUV over a minivan much easier to live with on a daily basis.

I have the RX500h.. one of the best cars I have owned..

550 had a CVT. I knew the reason why they put a CVT with that powertrain setup but at that price range? A big freaking no no.

10k miles on mine, same spec as in the vid. I love it. The rear wheel steering is awesome in parking lots and in slow-tight maneuvering. I am not sure I notice it at high speed, but it seems to handle great.
