I just bought the premium model as well. It’s white with red interior. The color dynamic is beautiful. The transmission is awesome. I’m loving the driving dynamic of this car!!!
A little hello from Canada. Even at 64 years old, I still love driving a vehicle with a manual transmission and what's more, I like Mazda products. I have had a variety of vehicles with a manual transmission including a 2010 Mazda6 GS, a 2007 MX-5 GX, a 2019 Mazda3 GS sedan and I just purchased a 2024 Mazda3 Sport GT manual. 🙂 Still sad to see that in 2024, Mazda will only offer the manual transmission on the GT and not on the GS or even on the GX. Personally, I would have opted for a less expensive Mazda3 Sport GS as I don't need the sunroof, leather seats, 18-inch wheels etc...
Waiting for mine to get shipped! It’s currently in transit, glad to see someone review this specific one cause all I ever see are the turbos reviewed, also mine has the red interior :)
I just bought this exact car yesterday. The stick is so much fun to drive! Your info was so beneficial for me as a new owner thank you! Traded in my Subaru for this car lol
Fun Fact: When the vehicle is off and parked, Press the unlock button on your key fob 4 times and hold down on the fourth press, it will actually roll down all four windows!
The $400 wireless charger is to add another in the box in between the 2 front seats. Thanks for the detailed review and coverage. Still waiting on the Turbo Premium Plus, to see what that's like, be the final nail in the coffin for me to buy.
Did you say you were on your way to 100,000, well I’m giving you those like and subscribe cause I thought you did an awesome job! Thanks for the info thanks for the energy and the description of the car
This video was insanely comprehensive. Thank you! The only thing I was still wondering about was the wireless CarPlay and how responsive it was. Overall though incredibly good review. Thank you!
Thanks for the review! Everyone else I watched was 6ft+ and the rear space looked unusable. My family is 5'6" and under so it looks like the Mazda3 and CX-30 should be adequate enough
Thank you for the video. I am looking at the select sport trim in the sedan which suits my needs fine. I appreciate you going through the controls so I am familiar with them before buying the car. Mazda wasn't on my radar at first but as I did my research and took a test drive they stand out for a fun to drive and reliable small car.
Great video. I am going pick up my 2024 Black on black Mazda 3 Hatch Premium Manual Today. This will be my third Mazda 3 Hatch manual. I appreciate the tour of my new whip!
The 24' 3's do enable Touch Screen functionality... But only with Apple Car Play... Also, since the 14' S Grand Touring Models you can set the door lock controls to unlock as you approach with the KeyFob and to lock when you walk away. You when you adjust the seat position and Active Driving Display, you can save the positions with the seat memory function. So when you press your button to get into your preferred seating position, it'll also adjust the HUD. One more hidden feature... When the vehicle is off and parked, Press the unlock button on your key fob 4 times and hold down on the fourth press, it will actually roll down all four windows! I currently have a 23' Premuim Plus Model. It's my third 3 after my 2010 Speed and 2015 S Grand Touring.
Great review thankyou. This trim with a manual and this car's lines make it really appealing. I wish it had a few more inches of ground clearance. Not a dealbreaker. But the "paved" roads and streets where I live concern me even while driving vehicles that Have more ground clearance. Wonder if it's even possible to lift this Mazda. Not for something ridiculous like off roading. But just a 2" lift would be a huge difference. Thanks again. Great segment.
Man, you gotta cover the back seat. Especially in a little hatch like this where people would have that as a heavy consideration in whether to buy it or not
Early in the video you mentioned the 0-60 time of 8 seconds. Is that correct? I would think with the power to weight ratio, and with the manual transmission, this Mazda 3 would get anywhere between 7.0-7.5 seconds 0-60.
There's this mazda manual and the civic sport hatch manual. the civic doesn't have leather seats or heads up and makes less horse with its 2.0L. However, it does have port injection instead of direct. Also its ~$4000 less. But today you have to pay Honda tax which would most likely bring it to around this mazda OTD.
It would be so fun to watch a youngster like this take on a late 60's or early 70's stang, cuda etc. these are cars, but yet, they are not! Thanks for the vid.
Drove this same car tonight, interior is amazing. Very torn between this and the new Impreza RS. Surprisingly the RS seemed more fun and engaging despite the CVT.
I've driven both, I like the Mazda better. You get the manual, physical climate controls, better sound system (imo), but it's all up to you and what you want! I do have a review of the new RS on my channel if you'd like to compare/contrast the 2!
@@703Speed agreed, I will only have it two years and then it will go to my daughter. She is pretty set on the the Subaru and safety wise I am good with that. Myself, I would take the Mazda for the nicer interior and stereo as well.
Thinking of trading in my ‘19 MX-5 RF 30AE for one! I know, but my GF won’t travel long distances in the Miata.😔(And it’s easier to replace the MX-5 than the GF.)
Excellent review and video style. This is going to be my next vehicle. Just one nit-pick... roundabouts; so few know how to drive them. You could have gone in front of the vehicle the Fed-Ex truck stopped for. Plenty of time and room. Roundabouts are so much better than stop signs... it's just that so many people wait longer than necessary that they end up becoming worse for traffic flow in practice. I think we'll get used to them. Until then, it's going to frustrate me even when I'm just watching from a computer chair... Cheers!
Thank you! About the roundabout thing, I have a camera on my head and the car is not mine which can make me hesitate to do things. If it had been my car, I would've had no problem going
I test drove one of these not too long ago. Great car, but the hill hold assist SUCKS. Makes it impossible to get a smooth start on flat ground, caused a lot of stalls.
@@703Speed Yeah man I hate that brake hold stuff, no way to disable it either. I drove my buddy's 2016 Mazda6 manual, no issues there. Idk what it is with the new one, more aggressive hill hold??
@@703Speed Forget turbo, I'd give a kidney for the 2.5l N/A engine without cylinder deactivation they sell in US. Here only limp garbage with cylinder deactivation. Here not a singe mazda as gone above 150,000kn, only 1-2 have reached 200k because of the cylinder deactivation. You're lucky in US my friend!
Manual transmission is the only type of transmission I will accept in a vehicle I own and drive. If it's an automatic (TC, CVT, DCT), I am looking elsewhere.
People SAY they want manuals but they DONT BUY manuals. Whether they are too poor or they arent in need of a new car who knows. At the end of the day its all the same to car makers...nobody buys manuals.
I have one, and I'm very impressed with the road noise. It's very quiet on the inside. Almost too quiet for a manual, because I can't hear the engine rev.
well you can get the base version no frills hatchback 26875 or the sedan for 25355 , for the size engine its a good bargain I think, and its totally made in Japan so thats a good thing.
