Great video, and I agree with the "rant" 100%. I wish the US top trim w/ a manual ("Premium") weren't so stripped down vs the Canadian GT. Smaller screen, no heated steering wheel, none of the interior bright trim, no pretty gray wheels, etc. And costs more here too! If I could get the Canadian version, I'd buy it in a flash.
Great video 👏 Mazda, you guys keep nailing on all your models. Keep it coming…I will only vote for Toyota and Mazdas….maybe a Subaru. Wake up Nissan and Honda! Quit sleeping on the wheel with your CVT transmissions and poor quality Turbo engines. As for Hyundai and KIA, why would anyone buy any of these Korean garbage. This Mazda 3 nailed it. You have to be blind not buy this Mazda.
Is that the ceramic metallic color?? Coz i'll be getting the GT awd w/ ceramic metallic color this week. And it really shines just by watching it. If it's the ceramic one, then i've made a great color choice. 💪🏻🔥
Yes, Thank you for keeping the Manual Mazda, but you only have in one trim in the Hatch. It will be great if it was added in the sedan, and if it was added to the Turbo-Charged 2.5 it will be a Killer!!!
as I get older I really appreciate high seating positions… having said that Mazda would be on my test drive list if I was in the market for a small car
I'm definitely a manual transmission snob. I won't purchase a car that doesn't come equipped with one. For brand new cars, that leaves very few choices, of which the Mazda 3 is one. I really like how my 2015 Mazda 3 (i Touring) drives, shifts, and handles, so I would be open to trying out the fourth gen at some point.
YES! We are paying WAY too much for cars. Cars have too much garbage in them that drive up the cost. You can live without power windows and infotainment, for example. GREAT POINT. And yes, SAVE THE MANUAL TRANSMISSION. It doesn't' matter that a computer can shift faster than I can. WHat matters is the manual transmissions adds a dash of fun to the drive. People, if you can play a video game using a joystick then you can drive a manual transmission. I taught myself back in the 80s when there was no YT. I just got in it after a friend told me what to do and did it. Yes, I stalled out a lot at first, but I soon got the hang of it. Today you've got YT videos that will show you the basics so that you at least understand it conceptually. You'll be banging around town with no problems within a few days max.
Im so glad someone said. Americans are paying way more than they need as well. We as consumers dictate quite a bit and we are part of the problem. That’s why I will being going from a Wrangler to this or a Civic Hatchback
Just purchased the 2024 Mazda 3i sedan 6 speed MT 2.5 Skyactive in Titanium Grey and its AWESOME!!!!!!!! 😎👍🏽 Thank you Mazda for keeping manual transmission alive and always fun to drive!!! 💥👊🏽
@@Yevhen-v2d Not at all. I drove manual car on commuting when I was in collage in Bangkok (one of worst cities on traffic) which I was fine with it. The clutch on Mazda is smooth and easy to live with. Enjoy driving.
Well said. Apparently you can order this car which is what I hope to do this week. I had the same debate about the turbo version versus the stick shift and the pros outweigh the cons. Totally agree about every single person owning an SUV. Was on a small Caribbean island a few weeks ago everyone drove extremely cheap small hatchbacks and it just made sense.
You've got a new subscriber. Really love that you went straight to the point. I'm considering this car actually, but automatic.Really appreciate your comments! And I totally agree: not everyone needs an SUV, or a TRUCK even! I see so many pickups in downtown Vancouver and I always go: why?!
Thanks for this. Subscribed. Totally agree on considering a car over an SUV or truck for city druving. Im looking to "upsize" from an mx5, so Mazda 3 is a big leap up for me haha. One of the challenges being in a small car in an suv/truck world tnough, is night driving. Being lower to the ground means everyones headlights are right in your face. Something to consider if you drive at night a lot. Great video thanks!
Ooh… tough choice. That’s maybe a comparison we should set up at some point! Both are excellent manuals, snappy and direct. This decision would be more about budget and aesthetics.
I noticed that there is no canada Manual transmission offering with interior color different than black on black. Do you have any information on that topic?
I got this two months ago - it is a 2.0 for me ( they're still available in Europe ) - I absolutely love it! The 150 Bhp is good for me - didn't need a racecar - have the Homura version in machine grey with black wheels - everything just works so well! I have two things I am disliking - not being able to disable the lane-assist feature permanently and the keyless feature doesn't always lock the car as I walk away from it so I always have to check.
I like smaller cars. Better handling, easier to maneuver on the road, and easier to fit into parking spaces. I bought the 2024 Mazda3 manual and I love it!
Hi Steph, I know you were the president of AJAC at one point. Is there anyway we can watch an interview with Lacey Lee Eliiot and Modern Motorring. Lacey really fought for true journalism about ethics issues within the automotive industry and she was silenced. Thank you 🙏
