In my opinion the interior design, materials and tech are better in the Tucson. Also, in this review the hybrid option with its increased performance, gas mileage, and related cost are superior in the Tucson. Your facts are not accurate. Thank you.

I bought a CX5 from CarMax and am thinking of trading it in since renting a Tucson during vacation. Better tech!

I dont own either car yet. But ive test drove both. Mazda is far superior to the fire engine tucson. Im about to purchase the Mazda cx 5. It was a blast to drive. And the interior was upscale over the tucson. And u have the Japanese durability and reliability. Zoom Zoom.

I've worked at both Hyundai / Kia and Mazda dealerships: I've seen plenty of Mazdas with 200k-250k mile engines come in for services that were idling like new, and the cars were there for basic maintenance. On the other hand, i've seen Hyundais and Kias with "ticking / tacking / whining " noises, and some burning oil as early at 130k. Hyundai is very good at marketing, but don't hold up in the long run. Mazda is now partly owned by Toyota, and some even come with Toyota AISIN transmissions which are among the best in the business.

Say what you want about reliability, however; What interior features does the top end CX-5 have over the top end Hyundai Tucson? Also, while the interior and exterior design may not be to everyone’s taste, the Tucson is far more impressive. The CX-5 is rather generic and certainly could use more space. It’s almost like a modern day subcompact. Having said that, I do agree that Mazda is a stand out brand, and I much prefer them over Toyota and Honda.

What a joke Mazda bias!! The Tucson smokes it and almost every category. I have a 2024 Tucson n line 1.6t hybrid you don't seem to mention here which has more torque than the Mazda turbo on regular fuel. The Mazda turbo needs premium fuel to achieve those performance numbers. My car is smoother quieter roomier longer wheelbase makes it less bouncy nicer and more stable on the highway and gets better fuel economy than the CX-5. Also has an available panoramic roof in more tech than you seem to want to mention here including left and right blind spot cameras smart park The Mazda does not have available. Every manufacturer has recalls.
