I have had mine a premium plus for 2 months and love it. I feel like I am driving a super lux car. Has every bell and whistle you could ask for. My goal is to never use gas!

It sounds like your tester doesn’t have the transmission solenoid software update. Once I got mine transmission shifting was night and day.

So, the electric motor works as long as you have energy in the battery? What happen when the battery is completely drained? Only uses the 190 hp from engine? Thanks!

Mazda never lets that happen. When the battery says 0%, it still actually has 20% charge.

How much power it has when battery at 0%? And it is possibly to charge battery only when driving, if I doesn't own a house?

Goes to gas with 0% charge so lots of power. I get 50+ mpg using battery and gas combined. It charges some while driving but I don’t think it would charge enough to make it worth it. You really need to plug in every night. It comes with a 120 volt charger.

The 2.5L I4 has bout 190hp and 190lb-ft. Driving the car will provide minimal charge, mostly through regenerative braking. This is only enough to extend the electric range by a nominal amount while charged. Plugging in is mandatory if you want the full power, it is a plug in hybrid EV after all.

0% all electric range does not mean zero electricity. The vehicle ensures that the battery maintains around 20% of charge for boost when needed. I saw a review with a Mazda rep who said you would have to drive uphill for several miles (I forget the exact amount) to completely drain the battery.

I wish Mazda would introduce front massaging seats in the premium plus.
