My wife bought a 2024 CX-90 preferred plus and gets surprisingly good fuel mileage. She has the beige interior and it’s slick looking, rides real comfortable and quite a bit of room. Takes awhile to get used to it not having a touch screen but I kinda like it lol put it in sport mode the dash lights up red and is pretty cool. I’d definitely recommend them and I’m a truck guy.
I bought a dark blue CX90 preferred plus as well. I wanted the smaller wheels (bigger tires), non-panoramic moonroof (literally never use it), and less chrome. So it filled the ticker. I don't like the light colored checkered plastic beneath the shifter and would have liked garage door openers on the rear view mirror. Rides nicely (I do mostly highway). Decent fuel economy. Definitely the sweet spot for this vehicle (for the price).
It is a touch screen in apple car play and android auto! If it isn't while the vehicle is moving go into the connection settings in the infotainment and select allow touchscreen while in motion!!
Received my CX 90 GS based model Last week. I Had à CX9 previously that I have enjoyed for 6 years . First impressions are; CX90 is a great improvement with all these new technology. However, I am questionning this car long term liability with all these electronic device.
I went to test drive the base cx90, its price is attractive, even lower than a cx5, but its center console trim is plastic, and the door panels of the front and rear doors are also hard plastic, which feels so cheap. In the end, I got a preferred cx90, which I think is the best value for money. Compared with the base, it has soft leather interior + heated seats + sunroof. The only flaw is that it does not have Bose audio.
There does seem to be some real good values in these larger 3 row SUVs base trim. It would be interesting to see how models like the Ascent, CX-90, Highlander, and the Pilot stack up against each other in their base bare bones trim.
I drove the PHEV version for 7,700 miles, then got rid of it, despite the financial hit. Suspension is TOO firm--you get bounced around a lot. Slow to a crawl to get over speed bumps. Dirt roads are a joke. Interior space for second row and back is cruddy. Also, 5 recalls since inception. Not good.
Need to turn in my CX-9 Carbon in August and really wish they had that type of trim level for the CX-90. I like the Turbo S, but really don't want those 21in wheels.
I've been considering a CX-5, but this legit gets better gas mileage, and with thinking I'll probably have kids in the next 5 years, this is kind of a no brainer. Plus, I hate the non-base model grille - love this more classic Mazda looking one. I think I have my new car...
The lower performance might’ve also been related to the low fuel, as some cars tend to pull timing a little bit if they’re low on fuel. Otherwise, great video!
I hate mazda put the same engine transmission and hybrid system but with a underrated power ECU, and I love at the same time because you don't need to modify anything just need to tuned your ecm to get the same power as the tops models 😂😂 funny factory facts
@@jermaineharris5647 dealers still give good APRs on certain models backed by the manufacturer. Instead of cash rebates, they give you a "good APR" like that. They earn the interest back because they generally reduce cash rebates when they run APR deals.
I was really surprised at how nice it was for 39k i have a cx5 carbon ans wanted to upgrade to the cx5 turbo around 40k but then i seen this and said hmm my only concern is the hybrid system and i know the drive shaft runs though the oil pain like the old trailblazers.
I cannot stand stop/start even if it can b turned off. A new engine trans will have years of issues till the bugs r worked out. I’ll keep my proven and reliable CX9 that won’t make me crazy at every red light and stop sign.
What this guy didn’t even mention is that this is a mild hybrid. The i-stop engages even when the car hasn’t completely stopped because the battery takes over. The mhev powertrain allows for a smoother start and acceleration from a stop. Also, starters are made to withstand the extra stop and starts.

Unfortunately my wife really wants the driver personalization feature so she doesn't have to deal with the constant changing of settings, seating and mirrors every time a different one of us drives the SUV. So lower end trim probably not on the table unless Mazda makes it available as an add on

I could hardy understand a word you said and for me who has never been inside a Mazda and wanted to gain some knowledge- you rushing over every thing has been a total waste of my time. Feels cheap? It feels sporty for its size. Just because most others make you feel disconnected from the road doesn’t make them have better ride quality.
That’s Mitsubishi or Nissan, and they are everywhere where I live in the U.S. and everywhere in Japan as well. Very well made, appropriately priced, and reliable vehicles.
