The 2024 Mazda MX-5 Miata: An Even Better Benchmark
Subtle improvements make one of the best sports cars on the market a little sweeter.
It's hard to believe, but the fourth-generation Mazda Miata (dubbed "ND") is approaching its 10-year anniversary, an eternity considering most models are redesigned every four to six years. To keep things fresh, the ND Miata has received its second facelift and is now called the ND3.
There are the expected changes - a new infotainment system, a redesigned front bumper, new lights, new wheels, and new paint and trim options. But the most significant upgrades for Miata enthusiasts are the revised steering system and a new limited-slip differential. The differential has different degrees of locking, on and off the throttle, which stabilizes the car during braking and turn-in, and reduces understeer when exiting corners.
