Hello, excellent review, congratulations! I am interested in buying this SUV and I am interested in going out with it on the highway. Would you know what is the best combination to save maximum fuel? From what I have reviewed, could it be ECO Mode and Normal mode or Charging Mode? What do you think is the best option? Thanks
The best mode for daily use is standard, and let the car figure out everything. It's pretty clever that ways. If you charge the car and plan on using it within the city for short runs, then use the EV mode. Eco mode does help in getting slightly better mileage, but overall, the standard mode takes care of the onboard charging too.
Great Review. I purchased one 3 months ago. I am 6'7" tall. I tried the Toyota Rav 4, Ford Escape, Jeep Cherokee, KIA Sportage, Mazda CX70,CX90, and Hyundai Tucson PHEVs, before deciding on the PHEV Outlander. So far, I really impressed with it. I am driving 75% Electric, 25% gas. I like the 4 drive modes, electric, normal hybrid, gas only, and charge the battery while running on a gas. i am getting 80 -85 k in electric mode. The 3rd row seat is only good for small adults or taking some extra kids to soccer, they are not meant for adults. In Hybrid mode I am getting anywhere from 2.8 to 3.5 l/100 km. On longer trips, I am getting 5.5 to 6.1 l/km when it runs on electric, hybrid, then charging and then running on electric again. This is amazing. The car has a lot of features which I am still learning about.
Hi I have this suv, just wondering whether it is possible to roll down 2nd row windows it is only going half down, is it like that or is there any other settings that I need to change to fix it?
Standard mode. Let the car figure out the best setting. It's pretty clever in that mode. If you charge the car and plan on using it within the city for a short trip, then use the EV mode. If the battery dies out, then the engine would take over. Plus, it would act as a generator, too.
