Another person thanking you for your service! I live abroad and cannot watch these in real time. Also patiently (sort of) waiting for Gainesville and Berkeley finals.
You know how Kathy Johnson-Clarke says you need to penalise gymnasts for the little things to make the 10s/higher scores that are awarded really mean something? I'm paraphrasing, but you know what I mean. I always feel like it's the case with Audrey Davis' bar routine. Her legs are LOCKED together in all her flight transition between the bars. If you take a .05 off for her dismount are you telling me her 9.95 routine is the same as some others that have those leg separations?! Absolutely not!
love ohio state, but i couldn't help but giggle when she said courtney mccann is consistent on beam. after her 9.975 in her beam debut this season, she's fallen almost every time since then. if she doesn't fall, she has a huge leg-up balance check. like come on girl bffr
The leotard bias OU receives is ridiculous. Raegan did not deserve a 9.975 on beam with that much of a balance check. The judging inconsistency is so frustrating. ETA: clarification.
Also Audrey's and Jordan's leg separation/crossing is quite visible on their dismount. Don't get me wrong, they are all amazing gymnasts, but they don't get downscored for these as others.
It literally is so obvious, like they gave Tiara a 9.925 on a basically flawless beam routine. Girl, it's favoritism. These judges are scared to give OU the scores they deserve. I feel OU gymnasts are really good, but sometimes they are over scored simply because they are OU gymnasts, and that's not fair. But I guess subjectivity is a part of the sport 🙄
Can someone tell me why Jamison was scored 9.85 on both floor and vault with stuck routines? 🤔 not really feeling the commentators was expecting them to be more fair considering the fact that they are both black, but they seem conformed 🤷🏾♀️
