in this vlog i bought a NMD base pro nrg+ bat tail. hopfully it allows me to do what i want. vlog in Cornwall England! Showing different surf spots, different surf shops. What equipment we use and why. General surfing at the beach and sharing some fun to spread some smiles

Looks like more fun on the new board. You had the right idea on that second wave. With the spin attempt. Out onto the flats, a hand drag. You need to ... oh. I don't know ! Maybe try watching videos of folks successfully pulling off a spinner ? I just fluked them a couple of times ! Looks like you managed a 180 though ! Perhaps the trick is. 1. Surf down onto the flats. 2. Hands on the nose. 3. Pull yourself forward into the middle of the board. 4. Lift your legs out of the water. 5. Wind up your body. 6. Grab the rail again with the right hand. 7. Hand drag with the left hand to get around 180. 8. Unwind to complete the 360 with assistance from the right hand on the rail. Although I am not sure where is the right hand position. Or the correct order .

Bats are a different beast than clipped crescent thats for sure. But once you get the feel of it, you will find you have so much more speed especially in small mushy waves, which will help for nailing those 360's consistently

I’m already finding this, really enjoying the board so far I’m already getting good rotation but not quite got them yet 😂

I was terrible at 360s until I knuckled down to practicing them regularly. It’ll probably take you longer than you think to start nailing them, but once you do it is so satisfying.

That’s my plan for the next few surfs, I have always got stuck about three quarters of the way……that is about to change 👀……. Maybe😂

Cheers for thw vid. I have never tried a Bat in all my years of bodyboarding for some reason. I have eyed that board up myself a few times at BBHQ. I have two NMD base 7s and they are phenomenal quality boards. I may grab the bat and take a chance on for something different.

It’s a really playful board, works really well on the steeper stuff too. I’m glad I bought it that’s for sure 🤙🏽

Got the standard tail board myself. Love it but it still hasn't made my 360's any better 😂 Cornwall next week so fingers crossed for some waves.

Nice 👌🏽 apparently the bay tail shape is supposed to help and I’ve had a couple surfs and it definitely seems easier. The tail doesn’t seem to dig in so easily. Hopefully you score some waves mate🤙🏽
