1. I made what I considered to be a legitimate error when I had the Commanders trade up w/ the Bears at pick 122. Thus, you will see some corrections with the final draft hauls for the Bears and Commanders that were done in post. 2. It may be for the better, but with the smoke starting to build all over the place I'm left questioning a couple of my decisions at the top of the draft and wishing I could come out with this the night before the draft. What can you do though!

Miami is not drafting OG in round 1. Grier doesn't value OG as a premium position. He famously said last year you guys are more worried about OLine more than us. Secondly,you gave us a CB seriously. You have us passing on Legette. Everyone knows we are looking for a #3 receiver. Horrendous mock for dolphins.

Great job! The Patriots draft was solid especially with addressing all three of their biggest needs, and gaining future capital without trading their first pick (blows my mind people think they’ll trade out) I just don’t love Roman Wilson. He seems like more of a slot guy in the NFL and they desperately need size. They actually have some solid after the catch WRs in Douglas and Bourne, and they have an entire roster full of slot WRs, so someone like Troy Franklin, Xavier Legette (my personal favorite), Ja’Lynn Polk, or Keon Coleman (gives massive N’keal Harry vibes though) would actually improve the WR room. Don’t get me wrong, Roman Wilson, Ricky Pearsall, Ladd McConkey would be an upgrade, but it would be like drafting a guard… it would probably be an upgrade over what they have, but it doesn’t actually benefit the team in any way because they’ve invested so much into the position and have solid production out of the guys who are in those spots. Whoever they draft I don’t see them being a true number 1 receiver, but they just need an outside guy who doesn’t leave the field (like Parker was, even though he was garbage)
@thefantasyfootballforge
@thefantasyfootballforge 5 месяцев назад
I 100% cannot argue w/ your take on Roman Wilson. Most of the time I've avoided giving them a slot WR... slight oversight there, but not completely. I have Roman comped to Tyler Lockett / Amon-Ra St. Brown. So, I do think there's a chance he could be a Z. Still, it's more overlap with their current WR corp than you'd wish for; agreed. I'll still take Ladd over most though!
@CP-vd4me
@CP-vd4me 5 месяцев назад
@@thefantasyfootballforge Agreed! I think Ladd is great, and is going to be great, but I know for a FACT the Patriots wouldn’t move him outside of the slot because, well, Edelman, Welker, Amendola 😂 At the end of the day I just want them to be an enjoyable team to watch and to have some big time play makers that actually look like professional athletes lol. Watching Bailey Zappe hand the ball off 28 times, throw for -30 yards, and the one time he does throw downfield it’s into triple coverage and gets intercepted scars me to this day. It was every. single. week. I get Parker was way past his prime, but I’ve never questioned a professional athlete’s legitimacy until Zappe 😂

I hate Mock Drafts where some fool plays favorites. You trade the Bucs pic and we lose JP-J for Edgerrin Cooper (Bucs get screwed). gain Cooper Beebe but lose pick 92 for a useless 151 pick. So the Bucs had 4 picks in the top 100 26, 57, 89 and 92 and end with 3 picks 39, 65 and 89 and and extra mid round 5th ARE YOU KIDDING ME. using your board here is what the Bucs picks should have been 26 JP-J, 57 Marshawn Kneeland, 89 T’Vondre Sweat and 92 Cam Hart and ill pick up Ray Davis at 125. So the Bucs get screwed by a man who needs to find something else to do.

They ended up with picks at 39, 57, 65 and 89 in the top 100. There's an entire graphic and thumbnail leading to that graphic for you to have not fucked that up.

As a Browns fan this draft doesn't make much sense for them. I'm not writing this to rip you, just give you some information on how the FO operates. Andrew Berry has only traded up in the draft once compared to trading down 6 times. Doing it twice, especially giving up future assets in a relatively weak draft seems unlikely. For the picks, they currently have a logjam at T as it is with Wills, Jones, and Conklin. Drafting a T is a possibility but means Wills and Conklin won't be back next year. Paul doesn't fit within the age guardrails that they have typically drafted previously. Someone like Suamataia makes more sense. Trading up for an EDGE makes no sense they already have 5 roster locks with Garrett, Smith, Ogbo, Wright, and McGuire. They only had 4 active EDGEs on the gameday roster in every game except week 18 last year. They also just gave the 6th EDGE, Kamara, a contract with guaranteed money. Hall seems like a good pick for them, I just don't see them trading up for him. It's more likely that they would draft him at 85 or trade down and pick him.

Fair point(s). Next time you gotta get to me while I'm working on the draft ;p. I believe the Browns have the most complete roster in the entire NFL. I don't think you're drafting any day 1 starters, they're already on the roster lol. Good luck to your team this year, you Browns fans deserve some success.

Overall the Falcons draft isn't to bad at all i think you hit alot of our needs with some really good players that fit our scheme. I think for me personally in round 3 and 4 i actually swap where we took 2 positions. Instead of Polk in the 3rd and Boyd in the 4th i would go Sweat in the 3rd and Johnny Wilson in the 4th. I feel sweat is a much better value and upside talent in round 3 at NT compared to Boyd in the 4th. Where as i think Wilson is much closer to Polk in talent than Boyd is to sweat. Other than that no complaints at all and i even agree with you on wishing we went with Latu at 8 i think he is the best edge in this draft class but can see us going Turner instead because of scheme fit. Although Latu has played a 3-4 for most of his career as well so he is a really good scheme fit as well.
@thefantasyfootballforge
@thefantasyfootballforge 5 месяцев назад
I don't disagree about Sweat. However, I fear that the DUI might push him into day 3. Just an FYI on the Latu being a 3-4 player. The reason Turner is SUCH a good scheme fit is because Raheem Morris asks his outside linebackers to cover a lot. Turner excelled dropping into coverage on over like 200 snaps. Latu was only asked to drop into coverage on ~50 snaps. Latu did perform well on those snaps, but the profile fits Dallas better; IMO at least.
@Falconsriseup
@Falconsriseup 5 месяцев назад
@@thefantasyfootballforge Oh i know thats why i have no issue with Turner at 8. LAtu is a better player overall to me and a better edge rusher. So i go with him 1st because i know he can drop in coverage solid as well. But im not complaining about Turner if he is the choice at all. Plus i hope rah drops his guys less here than with the rams which leads more to latu and gives us more actual pass rush which we lack big time. As for sweat i agree i think he drops to late day 2 or day 3. Im more than fine with him at 74 or 79 or our 4th. Wouldn't touch him in round 2 anymore though. 3rd or later is fine for a guy of his talents though.

Terrible Eagles draft. Arnold, Haynes and Foster all backups. Corley good pick for WR3
@thefantasyfootballforge
@thefantasyfootballforge 5 месяцев назад
Absolute horseshit. Everyone except for 50% of the Eagles fan base realizes that the team who had arguably the worst secondary in the entire league last year could use an influx of youth AND talent. Kelee Ringo did okay, and the 33-year-old Darius Slay didn't do much better... a middling CB 2 effort via PFF grading. Eli Ricks did terrible, and the 30-year-old James Bradberry performed almost as poorly. It was like throwing against swiss cheese for most offenses last year, allowing the most 3rd down conversions per game and the 2nd most touchdowns per game. I get that some of that may have been scheme... good news, Terrion Arnold is fantastic in zone. Two years ago you drafted Cam Jurgins as the heir apparent center. Him moving to center leaves you with 1 guard. You have a combined ~150 starts among the rest of your offensive linemen last year. Tyler Steen performed horribly in his 70 snaps. I loved Steen in last years draft, but you can't blindly have faith in that working out and Christian Haynes is a better fit for the scheme... AND, Steen was a natural tackle. Maybe he's your answer to Lane Johnson's eventual retirement if he isn't the answer at guard. You and I don't know what the team is thinking there, but to assume there is no chance a 2nd round Guard could find a starting spot on your offensive line is ridiculous. No shit the guy taken in the back half of the 4th round is a backup.
@thefantasyfootballforge
@thefantasyfootballforge 5 месяцев назад
If you'd like Cooper DeJean as a pick, Arnold also has that same versatility and you should like him too... that's why I listed him as a DB and not a CB for you guys. He doesn't HAVE to play on the perimeter year 1. I'd also like to clear up that I really only advocate taking one of those top 4 DBs, after that I agree.. you have some young guys and you'd expect the two veterans to play better than they did last year. The Eagles have a very good and complete roster due to excellent drafting over the last several years. You're not drafting any guaranteed starters at any position, even in the 1st round.

Rookie don't start on our Oline without a year of Stoutland U

A legitimately underwhelming cardinals draft. Trading out of the first round would be a terrible move. There is no logic to support that trade and we arent even drafting anyone thats worth that move. You miss out on a top defensive prospect for a rb in the 2nd round? And no shot we draft any interior oline in the top rounds. It completely goes against Montis draft strategy and you took two of them. I think Marv and Andru were the only two good picks.
@thefantasyfootballforge
@thefantasyfootballforge 5 месяцев назад
As stated at the start of the video, a short explanation for each of the 1st round selections / moves is available in the article on my website (link in the description). Both of those "interior o-linemen" I have listed as tackles first; both were invited to the combine as tackles. To be honest, I'm not sure why I have a possible guard tag on Rosengarten at all, he's listed as a tackle everywhere. Morgan is up to debate, myself and (reportedly) some teams believe he's a tackle... his arm length however means several teams will automatically believe him to be a guard. ** FYI - After further review I updated that trade value, because it was supposed to be a "too good to turn down" offer from CHI to ARI. Whatever that exact value may be, the main idea being... an undisputed (future) value surplus in the direction of the Cardinals.
@ste_venegas
@ste_venegas 5 месяцев назад
@@thefantasyfootballforge to be fair. I don’t think I was listening to it, or I skipped through. So I didn’t get a full explanation but yeah idk. I just think you skipped out on a day 1 starter on defense for a rb. I definitely think there’s a huge chance we take one in round 3 but the rb and guards were my problem, but tackle depth/development is a huge need. I’ve been seeing that trade down from 27 a lot recently which is very interesting because it just doesn’t make sense to me at all.
@thefantasyfootballforge
@thefantasyfootballforge 5 месяцев назад
@@ste_venegas That's fine. We all skip around certain types of vidoes on RU-vid. FYI also, Jordan Morgan was one of the top-30 visits for the Cardinals. The good thing for you is, this isn't their draft and almost certainly won't be correct! lol. I hope you enjoy whatever haul you guys end up with and with a little bit of luck, you'll be back in the playoffs in no time. I think your team is in good hands with the FO they assembled. Also, I don't think they "want" to trade down from pick 27... I'm surprised you've seen it in multiple places. This was the first/only mock I did that with and I never really entertained it previously.

@@thefantasyfootballforge Thanks man appreciate the mocks this year, Ive seen a couple of years throughout the off season. Of course Id never completely rule out a position entirely from being selected at a certain spot but given the history and who Montis learned from I wouldnt bet money it lol. If the value is there then its there. I may have off pretty strong in my first comment but I really have seen that trade several times just in the last two days specifically with the commanders mostly. Very strange.

The Houston Texans are not going to trade up in order to gain an edge rusher disguised as a defensive back in Florida State light-weight Braden Fiske. We apparently lost our #59 pick to move up for Fiske. What a dumb move that would be. Then at 86, we apparently trade back for what we don’t know. Back at 91, we get a corner from Auburn. 🥱 Then a Georgia safety??? These are really stupid moves and picks. I shut it down after that. I would not stand to see any more....🤮🤮🤮
