better trade down if they want sennecke that bad. don't care if he becomes the 2nd best player in the draft, no other team has him that high. would be atrocious asset management to spend a 5th on a kid that won't even be at the combine.

This group of podcasters know absolutely nothing about the Anaheim Ducks. Look at the Ducks draft history. No way no how would any of you pick Silayev at 3rd. You guys need to do some actual research. Prediction is Silayev doesn't get drafted lower than 7th and could easily go outside the top 10. I love mock drafts but the Ducks hate really has gone way too far. Cayden Lindstrom or the Michigan State D-men are you choices. I'd love to hear your reasoning behind taking Silayev at 3. Linstrom is the absolute mold of what Verbeek covets and you know that guys. The Ducks don't even need Leshnov based on the system of defensemen already in the pipeline. I understand taking Silayev in the 7-16 range but he is not a top 5 prospect in this draft. Also only 12 players in Anaheim history have been draft by the Ducks from Russia. Only once has it been a 1st rounder and that had caveats because he was playing in Canada already (Pavel Mintyukov 9th). So your predictions are appreciated but it's a pipe dream if you think Anaheim will draft Silayev. In my opinion the pick is Leshnov or Lindstrom (I prefer Lindstrom due to skill/size/and upside). Only once since 2003 has Anaheim selected anything but a Center or Defensemen in the top 20 (Bobby Ryan). Even more evidence includes the last time they took a player from the KHL was Stanslov Churnov and that is the literally reason they stopped doing it until two years ago. Cayden Lindstrom is the pick and the evidence and history will play out when the rubber meets the road June 28th. Also in the 30 year history of the franchise the Ducks have only taken 23 players from Russia.

What a reach for Sennecke... at this point I rather pick Sam Dickinson and make a huge splash for a offensive dynamo. Sennecke feels overrated no physical game, defensive play meh, great hands but often dont generate a A+ scoring chance. His shot is good but not impressive as mention by McCagg. Barely a point per game. I dont see a 80pts nhl player at all. good 2th liner winger with good speed and hands like Patric Hornqvist in his prime arround 60 pts is my prediction. Yakemchuk over Dickinson for me is freaking silly

New Jersey is not trading that 10th overall pick if it’s not a goalie… Jersey will only move that pick for a goalie. You’re dreaming to think Savard and Beck would get the 10th overall pick… Also Matheson needs to stay in Montreal. His leadership and offence is very important to this team and we shouldn’t be moving him if we want to take steps forward instead of taking steps backwards… I’m personally high on Lane Hutson, But giving him more time to be surrounded by a guy like Matheson is a smart move for his development…
@powers1500

@@tylerlussier1896 Montreal needs more high end talent in their top6...and you will not get it via a trade since it would cost way too much. So if it takes a Matheson to draft a "Sennecke" at 10th....so be it. This is only the 3rd year of this rebuild...what's the rush to expedite things ???

I feel like if Sacha Boisvert is available at 26, and Habs can't figure out a trade involving that pick which brings back an exceptional return, Habs will select him. For me personally I hope the Habs take Iginla over Lindstrom and Sennecke… If Demidov is there by some miracle of course take him, But Iginla should be the guy for the Habs… He’s probably the 3rd best goal scorer in this draft, His playmaking is very underrated, Great skating and speed, He’s actually pretty young for a draft eligible, Plays hard all the time never takes a shift off, Knows how to win in big moments and I believe he can still grow to around 6’1 because he’s still 17 years old… I personally like Iginla more I just like his style of play more and he will be a DANGEROUS playoff player… my comparison for Iginla is Wyatt Johnston… I remember back in the day scouts didn’t believe Jerome Iginla was gonna be JEROME IGINLA… I see the same in Tij, I think when he’s 21-23 years old he’s gonna be way better than people think he will be at this moment…. If the Habs Draft Sennecke I’ll just have to trust that route they take but I think ultimately Iginla will be the better NHL player… I also believe Iginla will be better than Lindstrom as well when they are all in their primes Sennecke, Iginla and Lindstrom I believe Iginla will be the best out of the 3….
