I have the same exact bike as you. I love the 40th anniversary colors in the sun. Got a full exhaust on it along with the tail tidy, velocity stacks and a 2 wheel dyno works tune. This bike is quick with all that. Far quicker than my old ninja 400. These bikes are a lot of fun and very easy to work on. Plus they are excellent on fuel and cheap to insure.
@@andyboulais8754 Yesterday I ordered my full system yoshi and planning on the 2WDW flash to pair it for the same bike (40th edition). How are you enjoying it? Did you wait for the break in period to finish before swapping everything ?
San Gabriel River path, Studebaker, Spring, PCH/2nd St these are all my major cruising routes since I am a fellow LBC'er. I ultimately settled on a 2024 Ninja 650 since it afforded just a touch more upright comfort. I also drove over to ASV and replaced both levers, they are the best street levers period. (If you want to wait around they will even install your levers for you for free!). Long Beach is a great place to live and ride with easy access to PCH and the freeway system. I'll keep my eyes peeled for you and your new ride since I'm constantly cruising the same streets! safety third!
@@dsrstudios9505 Hell yeah! What color is your n650? Yeah if you see this bike with a big sticker of Squirtle on the windshield that’s me. Squirtle adds 5hp.
I have the same bike and LOVE it. TactiTronics has a 500 tail tidy that also uses the stock lights and fits perfectly (I upgraded the license plate light to a TST LED light though). I also changed the grips, put adjustable levers on, swapped out the front directionals with TST industry’s flush mount/daytime running signals, swapped out the heel plates for green anodized ones, and swapped out the foot pegs to a set of Puigs. Looking to get a slip on exhaust - Cobra Custom - next month.
@@chrisochoa2698 yeah man I’m having a blast too! Did you do any mods yet? I got the tail tidy and the tall seat so far. Not sure I like the tall seat yet as it makes the wind really loud on my helmet.
@@SocalMotoRx bought an inexpensive KO exhaust that I’ll be installing this weekend, gonna get rid of the fender next….I’m 6ft & the bike fits me well so think I’ll leave the seat as is..for now anyway
I put a deposit on one last week. Hopefully it arrives as other dealers saying no hope that there are any new left. One way to find out. This colour scheme is perfect to me and id happily buy x2
@@jamesgeorgevellavella1961 yeah hopefully it works out. I heard the same thing here in the US about there not being any more shipments after they sold their current batch. I wasn’t sure if that was a sales tactic or not but if you heard it too it might be true.
@@jamesgeorgevellavella1961 Hell yeah congrats! The delivery is worth it if it’s the one you wanted. I know for me it was totally worth it to get a fun color. I’m so tired of boring colors!
@@SocalMotoRxthanks heaps. Yeah it was the one I wanted (those colours reminded me of teenage years). You are awesome and I really hope you enjoy riding and stay safe on all your journeys
@@jamesgeorgevellavella1961so ps took your order for the 2 bikes but it was all bs? What happened? I messaged my guy 2 days ago. He’s still claiming its due within a few weeks. Ps, so thats probably bs too
Question please... At 220 pounds, did you adjust your rear pre-load? I am 5'11" and 225 and wasn't sure how much to adjust mine. I adjusted it up two turns from how I got it stock, so now I am one off of the top. Feels better, but I'm thinking that with my weight it should be maxed out. At some point I may put a heavier spring and have the suspension custom adjusted for my weight. Thanks!
@@jonathandayne there are 5 notches and stock it is supposed to be at 3. I bumped mine up to 4 so it’s one down from the hardest setting. I think it has been good there. I have hit some good bumps at high speed on the freeway and I didn’t bottom out.
@@SocalMotoRx Ah, ok... So I must have only gone up one then. Because mine is in number four. I'll keep it there until I get more time and more varied riding on it. Thanks for the feedback!
@@fjbyedone1731 I guess it all depends where you’re at but I would say $8k or under OTD with all taxes and fees is a great deal. Dealers will try to come at you with $9,800 though which is crazy.
I just got mine (exact same bike) two weeks ago. My actual (literal all-in) out the door price was 7,155 which I thought was a very good deal considering what I've seen a lot of people paying. I'm in Oregon, by the way.
@@SocalMotoRx Correct, no sales tax. I don't have it in front of me, but I think it was 6599 for the bike (including destination and set up) then the other 556 was the title, dmv, and admin fee. Sometimes I forget about taxes in other places. Thats a big hit.
I put on a full yoshi exhaust, cut air box, put velocity stacks and dna Ari filter. I used a commander and had it tuned. I now make 61 horsepower and 39 torque. I’m not sure how say you would only gain 5hp?
@@TommyMakalele Nice! I think mostly all of the colors look good this year. I was originally going for the white one but I ended up going for keyless and all that.
Damn. I struggled to find one in Australia. Literally days ago I found one interstate+$1100 delivery but as you know the colour looks awesome. Bro wait for the 650 krt 25 it is green so you'll like it (I am putting deposit down tomorrow for one)
It’s a good percentage but I wonder if there would be any feeling of difference going from 47hp to 52hp at the wheels. I looked it up and full exhaust with stacks could get you to 10hp and that would probably be worth it.
@@SocalMotoRx Damn mine is 45hp Australia (we follow Euro 5 even though Australia is 30yrs behind Europe). Ev charge stations being powered by diesel generators says it all here
