New Car Time! So far it's been a great little car. No serious issues and kinda fun to drive.
UPDATE! Engine is a 1.6 Litre, 122 HP, 114 FT LBS.

I am close to hitting 15k miles in my 23 gun metallic 5 speeed Versa. It has been an awesome car. Nice to see others in Maine rocking the 5 speed versa!

No problem, glad to know the video helped. So far, based on my own personal experience, I can easily recommend this car. Just took it on a 400 mile road trip and had no issues. On cruise, it got 40 mpg at 70 mph and 3200 rpm with the AC on.

Do yourself a favor and check out the VW Jetta before you pull the trigger on that. I took the Nissan Versa and Nissan Sentra out for test drives last week. Not bad cars, but very underpowered and kind of cheap build quality. The sticker price was $18,500 on the Versa, a little more for the Sentra, which aren't bad prices for brand new vehicles. I was all set to get the Versa, because I actually liked it better than the Sentra, but wanted to check out a VW just to rule it out. Thank God I did because the Jetta was awesome, a ton of power, much better build quality. Sticker price on the Jetta was $22,000 but they had a $2,500 off promotional deal from VW, so basically a $1,000 more for the Jetta, but worth it.

Nice car. I've been driving a 2003 Pontiac Vibe for two and half years now with no AC and a bad heater core. Ready for an upgrade and finally in a place where I can afford one. This in a 5 speed is a serious contender.

Lucky man, I want to trade in my Altima for one of these with a manual but my wife won’t let me, she’s rather pay $8000 when the cvt goes out in it. I hate my Altima
@oldsledpurgatory3595
@oldsledpurgatory3595 Месяц назад
Man, sorry to hear that. The CVT trans is, unfortunately, the way of the future, and I don't want anything to do with them either. I have old snowmobiles that have CVT's and I know what happens to those belts. That's why I try ro keep my old iron on the road. I was under the impression that those were decent cars. Is the CVT the only thing you don't like about it?
@danielhamby9448
@danielhamby9448 Месяц назад
@@oldsledpurgatory3595 yeah the cvt is the worst part, crazy vibrations at low rpm/speeds, constant hesitation when taking off from a stop, constantly having to floor it and keep it in high rpm’s to get up to speed… seems like it defeats the purpose. I’ve took it in to the local dealership to see if there’s something wrong and they say that it’s “operates as intended” I use to have a 1992 Nissan Stanza with a 5 speed back in the day, I’d take it with the 300k miles it had over this one only 3 years old any day
@fortheloveofnoise
@fortheloveofnoise Месяц назад
If this was 9999 new, I would go for one, just out of my budget....well, for the money, ima just get a gently used V6 Camaro or Mustang V6 with a manual or get a vintage Mustang....with a manual trans of course. I am 29, but never wanna go back to autos ever again. Right now I drive a 1998 5 speed Nissan Sentra....which is actually smaller than this car I think...besides the hood.
@oldsledpurgatory3595
@oldsledpurgatory3595 Месяц назад
Those older Sentras are great cars, among the last made to be kept and maintained for a long time, not traded in and recycled after 50,000 miles. It's worth keeping and maintaining if it's in decent shape.
@drsysop
@drsysop Месяц назад
I got the same one but it's also available in blue which I got in a manual. Only thing I did to mine is put a aftermarket alarm in it to add a key fob to open the doors for about $150 & opens the trunk also as it not available. Downfall is no HD Radio, Android Auto & Apple CarPlay. I would not expect this vehicle to last as it was made in Mexico & poor quality control issues there but for a $16k vehicle it's not that bad.
@oldsledpurgatory3595
@oldsledpurgatory3595 29 дней назад
That's cool you found a blue one. Haven't even seen a picture of one of those. I'm one of those people that rarely listens to the radio while driving. Would rather listen to the car and for motorcycles or approching emegency vehicles. I doubt I'll ever spring for a fob or an alarm, I'm too old school. As far as build quality goes, we'll just have to wait and see.
