Dispensary-later named the New York Orthopaedic Hospital opened its doors. Today, the department is a preeminent center for quality patient care, education, and research.
This video offers prospective residents a comprehensive overview of our five-year program, including an optional six-year research track. Competition for acceptance into this elite training program in one of the country’s top academic medical centers is fierce. Candidates who match with Columbia Orthopedics will find a supportive, yet challenging community of dedicated faculty, clinicians, scientists and fellow residents.
The training of residents is one of our most important missions-and we are very proud that many of today’s leading orthopedic surgeons throughout the United States and abroad have trained at Columbia.
