Really an L whenever it's anyone but Paul, Jerm, or Nate. Same reason Gatekeeper was always completely unwatchable. Dry dull commentary in disc golf is the absolute worst.
@@derpderpin1568 commentary isn't make a break for some of us. We all don't need a play by play every second of the video, nor do I need them to make me laugh constantly. I'm here to watch disc golf. I honestly enjoy Queen's commentary as much as the main 3.

Only four holes in, and I'm already compelled to compliment Mr. Melton for his work in the booth. Just like a tournament round, he had to shake off the early jitters and settle in. Excellent addition to the booth!
@ImmanuelWoodworking Yeah, I hate how he breaks down the holes with multiple approaches, strategy, and pitfalls of each choice. It also bothers me that he has really good cadence and fills the dead space without being too talkative. Although what really keeps him from being good is his humor and general joy that he brings to the booth. Jomez should hire someone that preferably doesn't do any of those things.
lmao when zach first told brodie Meltybarri. brodie pauses and says... yeah we may have to workshop that one out lmao i legit died. SO true that name is crazy bad
I was just about to comment this lmao. He’s from the south tho right? It probably just comes out a little bit when he’s around someone else with an accent. You could really hear it on hole 7 tho 😂
Believe he's from scottsdale, AZ; definitely no southern accents in arizona from my time living there. But we're humans, it's in our nature to adapt subconsciously lol
It’s a little distracting to be honest. Zach was great but it felt like a comedy bit from Uli and I had a hard time focusing on the golf waiting for him to reveal the joke.
This might be the first time I've watched jomez without jerm, at least in years. all the love for zach melton but i already miss jerm's humor and banter! hope he's doing well in japan
I like the course. Not constantly looking at golf greens. Reminds me of a park. Good mix of bomber and technical holes. But I agree Champions wooded major meta should be a thing.
Chase card check ins or coverage? DGPT's change to the media plan certainly feels like there is less access to professional disc golf and this doesn't feel in sync with growing the sport.
Let's go Zach! You did awesome filling in on the commentary. Looking forward to all the coverage & commentary. Shout out to the Jomez crew & camera work. 👊
I think Eagle's forehand looks a lot more sustainable now... at it's peak a few years ago I didn't think it was a problem but his repeated injuries made me reevaluate my impression and since then I haven't liked how aggressivily and early he used to slam his shoulder into the throw. I think pitching coaches might have some valuable insight there at least thats my hunch after seeing Ryan Sheldon talk about the "slotted position" a few years back.
@@badgerspvcoachellis2436 as a distanceshot you are correct but it sure beats wrecking yourself and not being able to throw at all. Edit: in case your confusion persists I'll try to clarify. My prediction is that IF he returns to his old form he wont last 2 seasons without catastrophic injury. (quite a claim since I like many others looked upon his form as something to emulate)
Imo, the shoulder drop analysis here is spot on. I'm not like an orthopedic surgeon or anything, but looking back now (from your guidance) I agree: it was inhuman, and now we might know for sure that kind of forehand is inhuman because humans aren't meant to bend that way
@@newfietastic , None of you know what you’re talking about. I throw the same way at 40 years old, and can still get them out to 450-470. It wasn’t his throwing motion that was the issue, it was him goofing around and hurting his shoulder. With proper physical therapy he could get it back. The problem with a lot of the younger disc golfers is they don’t have a strengthening regimen to help protect their tendons and ligaments. It has nothing to do with the throwing motion.
Amazing card to get to witness. These 4 are such inspirations for the sport! Thank you to the players for all you do and thank you to Jomez for the amazing coverage. So glad I get to watch disc golf on youtube.
Great card of Champions, all winners. Once a Champion, always a Champion...nothing can take that away from you! Even after all those missed putts on Hole 1, you still a Champion Or even hitting first available tree on Hole 2....golf is golf, the game is always in your face!
It's hilarious to hear people with light southern accents sink farther into it when around other southerners. Uli's definitely code-matching a bit here and it's very amusing.
The "Jawbreaker Z-FLX Cicada" looks sweet. But I can't wait till Innova's Halo-G-Star-Champion-Eagle comes out! 🙃 Also I heard Prodigy has a 300-400-500-750-ProFlex-Glow D3 in the works!
Out here at the Steel city open in Pueblo Colorado and one of the guys out here is wearing one of the shirts you guys have....think I might have to snag one too
I'm not going to say I'm happy big jerm isn't here , but I am pleased on Paul's lead commentary skills , and I think he should take the lead more often. Big jerm is the staple to jomez as well as Paul .
To those in production… it would be nice to get greenside elevated cameras. Hole 8 as example… not being able to see the disc come to rest feels less professionally done. Rent a lift, construct temporary towers, figure something out. Love the sport, want to see it taken more seriously on all ends.
