Everyone has to hike their own hike! You as a hiker are discouraged by the miles you did miss even though if you throw in all the extra miles you hike you have hiked more than enough to replace those miles. I assume your gonna hate saying you finished it when you missed some miles at no fault to your own. This group has probably skipped way way more than what they are about to and gonna claim they through hiked the PCT. Props to you for doing all that you can do! I get the frustration! Props for biting your tounge IDK that I could even though you still have your outlet for it here and they still may see it!
Leavenworth , a zero and new shoes. Great you got a ride. Stevens Pass is miles from town. Good decision on HYOH. H-wood and CC seem to have their own schedule. Good timing since you have missed the majority of the fires.
Cathedral Pass/Rock area is one of my favorite day hikes. Bears are known to be pretty active from there on (north). When you passed thru, has Stehekin opened up? Those hikers skipping up may not have known about it. Earlier in the summer, unless one wants to do extensive reroutes, their only option was to skip from Stevens Pass up to Harts Pass. Or they may just be tired. I've spoken to several thru-hikers and one thing they all agreed on is that they're all mentally and physically exhausted. Looks like you're still going strong. Way to go! Keep it up.
Smokey the Bear (well, a bear anyway), beautiful lakes, lots of rocks, sore feet, you must be on a through hike young man! North bound and less than 200 miles at the time of this video!
NO 🐻 bear video! I can't 🐻 bear that!😅 ln few days you should be able to see white mountain goats! WOW! You have less than 200 miles to go! I've watched all your videos from the beginning! 😊
Ok now y'all stick to that trail and don't be chasin' no bears on our behalf! although I suppose you would get the last of the trail done pretty darn quick running from a bear. The Diesel and Lentil sighting was nice. Here's to taking a good zero for your tired feet that are hiking the miles for real . #noamateurshere
My biggest worry is how often I will mistakenly get off-trail. Have you seen anyone hiking with solar panels on their packs? I don't see how anyone can stay charged up these days without multiple power banks. What are you using, power-wise? Thanks, Paul
