Thank you Heavenly Father for the deep and wonderful insights you shared with us through your servants Tom Shepherd and Sis.White. Books that are especially helpful for this quarter's study include the following available online by search in many languages: Christ's Object Lessons The Desire of Ages The Ministry of Healing Those who utilize these resources will be truly blessed. They will be read to you on RU-vid.
The Sabbath School Quarterly app used to use Dr. Percy Harrold as a narrator a while back! I always enjoyed it, now more so because my vision became heavily impaired and all others Sabbath School lesson give their interpretation. I rather do the lesson myself and share my thoughts of the lesson during Sabbath school.
It is not the eye of a sewing needle that Jesus is speaking about, but the gates in Biblical times were called eye of a needle. The spaces between the bars is called the eye.
I expect NO sabbath school class will read OR hear ALL 52 verses of Mark 10 this sabbath!! SDA churches are not into reading as much bible as in Catholic churches at their weekly mass.....
I am really enjoying reading the Book of Mark and seeing the expression of God’s love to us as seen in the life and teachings of Jesus. Our class members take it in turn to read the passages for each week. The oral reading of The Bible is so beneficial to our faith and understanding. Thanks for your comment Bob.
Thank you Dr Percy and the brother /sister who commented. Iy has touched me because lm a class coordinator and because of time we don't read all the verses given. I shall endeavour to have the Bible quotations read. Thought provoking thank you
It was confirmed today what I thought I remembered learning about Armenia as a young person.. I learned that it was the first nation to be evangelized when the disciples started to teach the gospel to the uttermost parts of the Earth. It was the first also to receive the Sabbath Truth and kept the Seventh-day Sabbath for a very long time until the Man of sin put an end to it through persecution. I thought 🎉Anush may be interested in this bit of history. Jim Arrabito's documentary on the Sabbath through the Ages confirms this as well as a Short I saw today. Jim's research is still available on RU-vid and is well worth watching.
Pastor i have a question or question to ask, concerning two weeks ago Sabbath school lesson. Did jesus really called the woman who had a sick child a dog ?? And last week lessons who jesus was speaking too?? Was it his disciples
DOG. Yes Patsy. We probably only have part of the conversation recorded in Mark 7. But Jesus seems to be playing a word game with the mother. He uses a term she knows well, a term the Jews used for Gentiles. He doesn’t call her a dog directly, but basically asks her if He should heal someone who is not a Jew. She gives this brilliant answer demonstrating her faith by using the term for house dogs who are accepted in the house and eat leftovers under the table. Jesus rewards her faith. No he doesn’t call her a dog directly, but illustrates again for his disciples that His message is not just for the Jews. I hope this helps.
Happy Sabbath, thank you and may our Almighty God through his son Jesus Christ bless you and smile upon your life and your family. I'm grateful that you do remember us in prayer.
Thanks for the question. Abuse of another is neither Christian nor right. Our church at its General Conference Session in Utrecht in 1995 issued a statement condemning domestic violence. You can find it on the GC statements page. Every woman deserves to feel and be safe. I personally have been assaulted rescuing one such abused woman, and have given medical assistance to many in refuges. Please encourage the men in your life to treat their women with respect.
