2024 Ram 2500 Rebel Cummins Vs 2023 Ford F350 Tremor Diesel. Massive payload difference

For 2024 Ram finally gave customers a more off road friendly Cummins HD truck. Its not as capable as the power wagon but its much better then the standard ram HD. I was shocked at the payload differences. I still love the cummins and the ram interior.

Great comparison! I sold my '18 Ram 2500 with intentions of buying the new '23 Ram Rebel 2500. After comparing the Rebel to the Tremor I ended up with a F-350 Tremor. I need towing and payload plus off road ability and for that combination Ford wins. If I just needed a daily driver truck to haul a little bit and tow smaller load the Ram might've been the winner.

I would take the tremor or zr2 hd, ram seemed to just throw something together real fast to have something to compete. The payload and towing capacity is ridiculous on the diesel rebel, the gas version is rated higher for both which makes no sense but I guess if you want a little more range for your trips, go with the diesel, right now I got a tremor and zr2 on order it's a race to which one gets in first for me.

Ram doesn't have glow plugs... grid heater. If you just double tap start it'll start right away...

Ram STILL has best interior. Its 4 yrs old and not close. I like horizontal screen in ford tho

Does the Ram Rebel have the same front limited-slip axle as the Ford Tremor tho?

To my understanding the rebel is an open front diff.

Great video. The 350 is also a 1 ton, vs. a 3/4 ton. I would expect way more payload, but the ride has to be rigid in the Ford when hitting any bumps in the road.

Thanks for watching! The F350 is more stiff than the Ram 2500 for sure. The coil rear springs help a lot on the back of the 2500 to make it rides smoother!

The Ram suspension isca true 3/4 ton setup. The Ford is a 1 ton (all Tremors have the same 1 ton suspension, regardless if they are F-250 or F-350.

True, but the sticker is still de-rated for the 250. If you ever find yourself in an accident while towing that will matter when the attorneys get involved.

RAM boxes are polarizing, I find them to be an absolute waste. They leak, they are easily broken into, they ruin your ability use most campers and bed racks, and they eat up vital space in the bed. More power to those that love them but I laugh every time I see them on a truck. I'm on my 5th Super Duty now with my current '23 F250 Tremor but I had a '21 RAM 3500 and an '18 Power Wagon prior to it and I don't think I can agree with RAM having the best interior. I will say that I think they are close to if not on par with Ford and both are better than the GM interiors, only GM fanboys will say different. RAM and Ford have their pro's and con's when it comes to the interiors and ergonomics, I can't say I prefer one layout over the other by any margin but I do find myself more comfortable in the Ford as I find their cab to be more roomy, the RAM windshield angle is a drawback in that regard. The RAM certainly has the better resolution cameras and exhaust brake, it's not even close. While the RAM has the rear coils on the 2500 it tends to kill the payload which is a crap deal for most. Oh, GoodYear DuraCRAP's are TRASH! But at the then end of the day, these are the two best HD trucks on the market at the moment. It's good to see the AT4X AEV and the HD ZR2 Bison but those are an upfit package similar to the RAM Prospector/Prospector XL so you can't compare head to head subjectively. Either way GM is finally making strides in the right direction and competition drives innovation so it'll be cool to see where this market is in 3-5 years.
