I got a bottle of the 10 year Michter's several years ago, and I still recall it as one of the best rye whiskeys I've ever tasted. I'll have to see if I can score one of these.
I never really liked rye until I started drinking Michters 10. Now I am hooked acquired both the barrel strength and toasted this year. Some of my favorite juice this year period. Nice triple bass too 🎉
Great review. The more I hear about the Triumph profile the more it sounds like the Jack Daniel’s Twice Barreled Rye might give it a run for its money.
Having seen your other reviews of these I knew which was which just from the nosing round. Picked up my first Michter's Barrel Strength Rye yesterday and man it's a great bottle.
Do we know yet how widely available the Knob Creek 10 year Rye is going to be? I hope it's a new core release like the KC 12 bourbon, but I haven't heard.
Why are people continuing to sleep on M10 rye and bourbon? They keep showing up on top of blinds on RU-vid and at my house. I shouldn’t complain since that lets me obtain them fairly regularly
gotta skip this one. WTMK is in the mail, I'm sitting on a sample of M10R and Parkers 10yr rye, and picked up the KCR10 today. Don't want to spoil my blind!!
WTMK arrived today and we did our blind. I also included WTMK Cornerstone as it's 9+11yr to see how it compared. I voted Triumph > Michters (my sample was 2022) > cornerstone > parkers > kcr10. Wife voted Michters > Triumph > Cornerstone > KC > Parkers. KC ended up being glass1 in the blind and we loved it. As we tasted the other samples and compared it fell off hard. We both thought the parkers was the KC because we kept getting the jim beam nuttiness on it, the reveal was surprising.
@@eafarrar we blinded wtmk triumph, wtmk cornerstone, phr10, kcr10, and mr10 tonight. We actually thought was the parkers was the kc because of the jim beam nuttiness to it. It came in 4th and 5th. I voted triumph > mr10 > cornerstone > phr10 > kcr10, wife voted mr10>triumph>cornerstone>kcr10>phr10
MICHTERS 10 Year RYE. I just tried it at a bar. It didn't have a long finish. I would say average finish. I got oak and dry fruit. Warm spice rye it is not a spicy rye. I will not buy it. I am going to look forward to trying the Bourbon Release.
