When I first started in archery I worked with the club pro to learn how to shoot with back tension and I did that on a Scott wrist release like this one. He proved to me that you can shoot pretty much any release with back tension. I shot it for a pretty long time too !!
As others have noted, there are a lot of similarities between this release and others. My understanding is that the Solus has micro adjustments on trigger travel and tension. It is supposed (What I was told at ATA) to have replaced all springs with magnets, but nobody from Scott has been able to confirm this since its release.
Great review Steven !! Yes I agree . I see no difference between the Scott talon and this one other than the lines are a bit smoother on the Solus than the Talon . Length adjustments are identical , the hook and roller sear is identical and the trigger is the same as well . I have a Scott ghost hook release and it's nearly the same , just a little smaller in design . Very high quality release and very comfortable wrist strap!!
