You folks have been asking for over a year, and finally I put together a video covering the settings I use to drift with the Simagic Alpha Mini on Assetto Corsa. I go over all of my settings including wheel rotation, Force Feedback, and various other effects, as well as covering Simpro manager, Content Manager, and Custom Shaders Patch. These settings are what I use for both drifting and racing on Assetto Corsa, as well as hopping back and forth between sim and real life drifting.

My Story *********************
In 2022 I purchased a 2007 Nissan 350z to start attending my first drift events, and I've learned quite a bit along the way. The community has been great and I'd very much like to pay it forward and help anyone looking else looking to get into drifting for the first time. I’m in love with the way that alpha mini rotates so smoothly I wanna switch to DD but I’ve only had my t300 rs gt for about 3 months lol

Can you make a video on how you install your wheel on to your base or is it just that simple

It is simple: you buy a connector from Simagic (or some no-name, just make sure that it has a really good feedback from customers), buy the wheel you like with the central mounting diameter matching the connector (d = 70 mm in most cases) and that's it. Just collect all of them in one part and go dorifto.

Finally got back into drifting with my new setup because of this video. I still have oscillation in transitions though even at 65% ffb in the car settings, do I just need to get good and get used to it? I don't ever see anyone's wheel acting like mine in their drifting videos

Wrs are causing oscillation, but for me it's impossible to drift without it, but if you want less of it then you can try my settings Smoothness 0 Wheel rotation speed 20 FFB detail 0 Mechanical damper 20 Mechanical friction 10 Mechanical inertia 20 FFB frequency 0 Wheel can feel a little heavier but please try it for some while and share your feedback on it

@czajkosky ill definitely give that a shot! I think I might have had the fbb in the individual car to high still, I turned down in car gain to about 50-55 and it's almost gone.

Why did you set ffb to 100% in game and 65% in simagic driver? As I see now, it causes clipping. I tried vice versa and no clipping at all. Overall, it even gives you a bit more ffb as there is no clipping anymore, so you can reduce even more, let’s say to 55%. Or maybe you had some reason for this? I’m a new user of alpha mini, so I can be wrong. Overall, didn’t get used to the wheel yet, feels a bit like hard spring :).

You're right, but he adjusted car specific FFB at the end of the video so maybe that's how he handles clipping. AC FFB should be less than 70% to prevent clipping on most cars.

@@JankyDrift admin could u pls make a tutorial on how to get started modding? I would like to turn down the angle and power on some DWG mods, but everyone I ask tells me “google” or “don’t edit cars” as if they hadn’t ripped the other games’ models as well 🙄🙄 how did u get started learning it? I think I understand 3D modeling cuz I’ve been making tracks for a while. Sorry for yapping sir
