Thanks for watching! I'm glad no one was hurt as well. It has been months now and I still get nervous when another car is approaching that intersection.
I just closed a deal on my Kamiq Selection Style. Sadly the Ocatvia is not available in its Wagon form here. And the Scala only comes in its very basic interior design form here (very minimal level of features) Not gonna lie, the Kamiq looks pretty appealing for my taste, better looking than the Scala or Octavia Wagon, so I am pretty happy regardless with my purchase.
It's a good thing the Kamiq. It's compact on the outside yet has decent interior room. For me the Octavia wagon is still the better option with massive boot, better rear space and a lower price. At the asking prices for the Kamiq the slightly smaller VW T-Roc City Life is more compelling value at $37,990 drive away, especially given how well the T-Roc is equipped.
I’ll have to look a little closer at the T-Roc. I was under the impression that it was Golf-based and thus slightly larger than a Kamiq. Which, if it is similarly equipped, would make it better value still. Maybe it was the T-Cross you were thinking of? The T-Cross is Polo-based, and I think the Kamiq is on a slightly stretched Polo platform. Anyway, they’re all good and it is saying something that Skoda is able to charge slightly premium prices for its cars.
@@shadowmysticranger in my test Kamiq, in certain conditions when the reversing camera comes on, there are a number of options on the right of the screen. It includes no lines, a parallel parking setup with boxes, and the guideline option shown in the video. Unfortunately, I’ve had to return the Kamiq so I can’t go out and double check the settings for you. Also, depending on the year, trim level, and what market you’re in, your Kamiq may not have that feature. For comparison, my car was an Australian market 2024 Kamiq Style. I recommend checking your user manual or speaking with your dealer for more information. Otherwise, there is a Skoda owners group called BRISKODA that I used to be on when I had my Octavia. There is probably a Kamiq forum there that may be able to help more than I can.
@@amperformance7998 The T-Roc is Golf based. It has a 445 litre boot and rear legroom is similar to a Karoq. The Karoq is also Golf based and a touch bigger. If you can grab the special offer from VW the T-Roc is better value than the Karoq in my view.
