Very nice and awesome driving their SVG, so proud of you mate. And too all of the fans watching over their in New Zealand, you have one awesome super car driver. Froim NSW,Australia🇦🇺🇳🇿, and we have awesome race circuits over here too in Australia, as this man SVG, was so born too it, as it takes time to be able to spread your wings thouroughly, once again my hat goes off to you SVG, a awesome job well done. 👍😎👍
Shane got his revenge on Hill - who I will credit, kept his mouth shut for once. suck it up porkchop, you had that coming since COTA. But damn, Gibbs was on fire. The only one to match up with Shane lap after lap. I don't think Shane passes him if he's in Hill's spot... and I'm not a fan, but shit he was fast. Too bad his pit crew isn't.
Shane would have passed Hill with no problems. Somewhere in mid race he gapped him by a few seconds then backed off and I am sure he did it to see if Hill had the pace to stay with him when the race was in the final laps and Hill may have tried to pass Shane right near the finish. You only have to be in front across the finish line and following another car is easier than leading a full race. One big effect SVG will have in NASCAR will be to raise the skill levels and car set up preparation. He alludes to him making changes in one interview and most probably when the team begin to see how he can set up a car for road racing others will have to follow or be lapped. He was not driving flat out in that race so the future looks bright indeed.
F1? Seriously though, I'd not consider 10 years learning a craft a waste of time. Look how much he makes other drivers look slow at their own game immediately on hitting the scene over there. Perhaps some of those guys needed to 'waste' a bit of time over in Australia to get a bit quicker.
He didn't waste his time Bro, he won Bathurst a couple of times and won 3 Championships. That's NOT wasting your time. To be fair though, he woulda made a lot more Coin in the States and been a wealthier man. We have many young Fella's just like him here ! Cheers from New Zealand
yeah but, shoulda , coulda, woulda won , but didnt. As a driver of a long race you dont always pull away as fast as you can , especially in Nascar with the stages that stop the race, so you see how the guy behind can run, push it a bit , and hopefully know you got it at the end, and Shane in supercars was great on tyres ect in the closing stage of the race. you see how he pulled away from those behind in the last 2 races, called good racecraft
