Love my 2022! Great traveling car. Forgot to mention the little cubby on left of the steering wheel. Perfect for a guy to put his wallet on long trips. How it is designed in front is about perfect for those long hauls. Drives great.. I have used my third row so happy to have it. Yes.. only for small people or children but they loved the cubbies and phone charger in third row.

Seems like the Ascent should get more attention. I believe it's made in Indiana at the Subaru plant.

Somehow Subaru is always in pursuit to others. I think they had to go with a awd van instead of 3row suv

I really like the Ascent but for the price the some competitors are offering more features such as LED interior lighting, full LED front and rear exterior lighting, heads up display, better looking shifter, full digital instrument cluster, standard wireless charger (on their site it's an option even for the top trim)...just to name a few. I am sure I am missing some stuff.

what manufacture would you say is "ground breaking" in this segment

make sure you look at the hoods edge my Ascent was built 9/23 and the paint is failed and cracked along the whole back edge( hood) facing the driver and passengers -14 days and still waiting to hear from Subaru

Not a good choice. We are Subie loyal and wanted to upgrade from our 2013 Subaru Tribeca to the Ascent. The Ascent has had its share of issues since its launch. Subaru’s decision to outfit it with a 4 cylinder engine is head scratching, contrast against competitors, most have 6 cylinder engines. We pull a 3200 lb trailer with our Tribeca and love it, we just won’t trust pulling our trailer with it. The Ascent has had its share of drivetrain issues, which makes me wonder whether this is related to the engine setup. If we were in the market to upgrade to another AWD with towing capacity, we’d pass on the Ascent.

I wish Subaru would revert back the the prior front and rear clips on the Ascent with the polished aluminum wheels. The more chrome the the BETTER! The current Blacked Out” trend is horrible and makes the vehicles of today look plasticity and cheap!

It seems the Ascent doesn't have the same appeal as other 3 row SUVS in the marketplace. Sad.

Guess they'd charge $55K to paint the ENTIRE outside. All of the unpainted trim looks 90's.
