An epic nine-day journey would take us all along the black waters and rugged islands of Lake Superior from Sault Ste Marie to Thunder Bay. Along the way we would travel over 3,000 kilometres in our Subaru, visit five Ontario provincial parks, and pass through one national park.
Subaru’s relationship with Canada’s national and provincial parks is a natural one. In the late 1970s, the outdoorsy people of the Pacific Northwest realized that those funny little all-wheel-drive Subaru wagons were way better at accessing rivers, mountains, and lakes than the prerequisite Volkswagen beetle or bus. Soon after, it seemed as if you couldn’t find a trailhead, canoe launch, or ski hill parking lot without a smattering of Subarus - usually with roof racks, national parks bumper stickers, and a bag of half-eaten trail mix on the dash.

Excellent review. After waiting a couple weeks I took delivery on my Crosstrek Limited, and every day I discover something I like more. A real improvement over the prior generation 2 L (that after 170,000 Mi I'm still going to keep). Very happy especially in inclement weather the way the CVT pairs with the engine. It's not going to touch my Saab Turbo or Porsche 911 Carrera for Road feel and driving thrill, but I love my Subaru it's absolutely doing exactly what it's supposed to do

I thought the settings allow for turning off all that, including the beep alerts. Just turn them all off. I think only an orange warning light remains.

Deactivate via the menu system. Some will turn off most everything, but yes, I know it is safety features -- a choice. It is like auto stop/start, which would drive me nuts to leave on.

i LOVE these little buggers--for the fun etc... BUT I can't STAND the CVT.. and I HATE that big ugly screen stuck up there in the middle of it--FAR tooo much BS that's NOT NEEDED.

…CVT and middle screen are one of the key drivers of buying this fab automobile…😊

@@fragu123 That'sthe key for me NOT buying one- and lots of other folks too.. the ones that have good sense that is. After talking to over 50 MASTER mechanics and some engineers- the main take it they WILL NOT hold up..

If you don't like the brand, why waste your time bitching about a great car you don't have interest in! Move on.
