Overpriced junk, zero service network with colossal depreciation. If you’re dumb and want to lose a massive amount of money, this car is for you! 🤪 🤡 $75,000 😂. BYD is $10,000
Love Toyotas, have a 24 Camry, that being said the RAV4 felt like a completely efficient Appliance compared to the sports car feeling cx50 that my wife and I chose. Can't go wrong with either one!
Awesome video, I've never heard of or seen this car but it is absolutely beautiful! Extra points for the comparisons to music in the description. This deserves way more views!
My wife has owned two Mazda 6s and they were classy and drove extremely well and felt very planted. I'm considering the CX90 PHEV Premium Plus in a few months but am waiting on the release of the 25' Palisade which may have a PHEV version that I would have to see the specs on and test as I have owned the Palisade and although it drove well for me I'm sure it's not the driver's car as the Mazda. One thing I never really got used to in Mazda was their infotainment systems which just weren't even close the the Palisade's. The Palisade is definitely a quality SUV for the money and much more useable space and cubby holes everywhere than the CX90 but I do like driving dynamics but will see...
I'm really looking at a Z Sport. I'll be coming from a Challenger R/T so I'm sure even though you're saying it handles terribly, it'l still feel like a vast improvement over the Challenger's handling. Plus it'l have more power, and weight less than the R/T. Somewhere around 600lbs of difference. And since I'm used to the R/T I'm very used to handling a Hammer everywhere. Add to that ALL of the roads here are straight and if I have to go anywhere its a long highway trip and the Z just makes more sense.
We did compare them bought Mazda CX-50 love the look and drive train 2.5 ice with 6 speed transmission. Base model Select very nice interior great looking SUV.
I think you gave a good honest review that is helping my decision.I’m looking to buy one of these as I love the styling , engine and sound.AWD seems to pull you out of corners/roundabouts nicely but as you say that trunk (boot) is so small and the car is heavy, but still 300 lb’s lighter than my AMG C63.I’m considering getting a luggage rack for touring, or maybe I should just get a Boxter 718 and save lb’s ! (It’s only got 4 cylinders).I’ve been seduced before by V8’s in the way of an SLK AMG 55.Great on paper but small boot and handling was poor.
We got an XSE Prime about two months ago and love it! Bern holding steady at 40 to 42 mpg in hybrid mode only, with the car computer consistently within 2 mpg of my calcs (car showing 42 to 43 mpg)….not bad.
I had one in '78 but had to spend £400 on the suspension in '79 which rather cooled the relationship 😢. Still it was a lovely ride and the brakes could put you through the windscreen.
Lol I'm still driving my 2014 150 130 thousand miles baby it runs strong and glad I got the last steel body year there safer and I like steel more than aluminum.
wifey got the 2023 top trim of this for a rental and after a single drive she handed the keys to me so she could drive my rustbucket ancient mazda 3 bk sedan instead. She said she felt unsafe because of how disconnected the ride felt from the road. After I got to drive it too, I must say I really dislike the direction new cars have taken. Inside feels too isolated makes you wanna fall asleep if traffic is boring. That Ford escape looked pretty but she was right--it did not spark joy where it most counts--when in motion. Felt like a lethargic imprecise obese vehicle. The tech was dissatisfactory too--a knob that feels yuck to turn for a gear selector, a tiny button for a parking brake, car stops and engine keeps turning off at all the red lights, all the vent controls in the touch screen some so far away, a washed out reverse camera and skewed and distorted birds eye camera when reversing. The button placements for music controls on the steering wheel was split up for some reason. All of this was infuriating. Just a lot of dumb design decisions. Absolutely not worth the price they are demanding. I will hold on to my early 2000s-2010s era sedans and suvs for now until I find something newer where the practicality and driving dynamics doesn't suck.
Great comparison! After watching this I'm still torn between the two but am leaning towards the Genesis for the styling and trunk space! You cannot fit 2 large suitcases and carry ons in the Audi as the trunk curves in. However, Audi has 2.49% financing on now which compared to the Genesis at 5.9% is making the decision hard... as thats hundreds of dollars more in my pocket each month.
Why cant the top PHEV CX-90 get the 12 in touch screen offered in the tubro s model, or lane keeping assistance (CTS). That is a big miss IMHO. Any word if they will add those features to the PHEV trim in Canada? Looks like there was also a stop sale on the Grand highlander today due to safety issues.
You can buy a corvette e-ray at less than half the price. It's inferior from an exotic car standpoint, but for the vast majority of people who don't regularly drive at 9/10ths, they won't notice or won't care.
Just buy it used with low kms. Not only do you skirt the luxury tax, McLarens depreciate in price like stone. Check Autotrader, you can buy a more powerful 720S these days for the same price as a brand new Artura.
