@@Commander_Shepard2000 The Impreza is made in Indiana, the Corolla is made in Mississippi and the Versa is made in Mexico. Sure, a few of the trims still come from Japan, but very few. They may be Japanese manufacturers, but they aren't made in Japan anymore like years ago.
I think that having 2 separate interfaces for media and vehicle controls is definitely better than having both in a single interface. That being said, I think analog controls for things like A/C, driver assists, etc. will always feel better than a touchscreen, especially for adjusting while driving.
I really wanted a Subaru Impreza or Crosstrek. So smooth on Utah roads, but a little lacking in power. Sadly there just weren't any available, so I up ended up going with a Mazda CX-30.

@@scottrodgers2139 Base Foresters and Outbacks are nearly impossible to find right now. Even Premium trim Foresters and Outbacks are much harder to find right now than the higher trim levels are. Most of the dealers in my area only have limited, touring, and wilderness trims. They might have 1 or 2 premium trims if you're lucky and they never have the base trim.
I just bought a Impreza Sport. $32k all in (Illinois tax is 10%😢) with a 100k 10 year warranty. Couldn't beat that anywhere. The sport is like $1600 more than the base but the amount of addons is way more than the price would reflect. My wife absolutely loves it.
@@mgrenn The 11 inch stereo itself is nice but the sound is not great. If you really need better sound then maybe the RS is better for the 3k extra. RS has quite a bit more for the money like better suspension, brakes, interior and exterior styling upgrades and full blindspot package along with sunroof. As far a power on the Sport, it's fine and handling is good as well.
@@stuffdo_erRS is nice if you want little more HP for 2.5 engine but the 2.0 more than adequate & better fuel economy . The 2.0 is lighter & less stressful on some components such as engine mounts.
I like the larger base trim on the legacy. It comes with the 2.5 liter engine and gets a better 35 mpg highway gas mileage. Don't think it costs that much more either.
I doubt I would be comfortable in one of those as I'm 6'7". Otherwise $25K for a new car these days is a great deal for most of the folks under the bell curve. Just wish for the old days before 2020 when you could buy the largest sedan that most manufacturers have for not much over $20K. Thanks Covid supply chain shortages.
Another great video, Mr. Hardy. Like how you put your videos together and how you describe the information about the subject vehicle. For all current base model Subarus, would rather a simple single screen with physical climate control buttons and knobs. Do you have enough experience to choose a favorite between the 2024 Subaru Impreza RS and the 2023 Ford Escape 2.0l Ecoboost?
My 2008 WRX STI still runs like brand new after all these years of being driven hard, tracked, and abused 😂 not to forget modded. CVT and e brakes tho 🤢🤮
I have heard the impreza does not come with a mini spare but a can of fix a flat. Is there room for a compact spare and can one be ordered? just curious. Thanks.
It should be although things like spark plug maintenance might be more difficult due to the layout of the engine. Everything else look reasonably serviceable though.
@@tails300it’s not the 90s, you’re not gonna need to change those for a very long time. Not to mention how long do most people keep their first car for? They outgrow it, crash it etc.
