After checking out a number of the Swift Carrera van range, we see the Swift Carrera 132 which is a 2 berth, 2 passenger seat rear lounge 6.36m Fiat Ducato based Campervan. The RRP of the Swift Carrera 132 is £72,495 at the time of filming with the Automatic option at £2,995 additional cost. Check with your Swift dealer for the latest pricing.
The 132 is longer than the Elddis CV20 and the Compass CV20.
We looked at this van at the Kimberley Showcase which was running up to the 28th January at Kimberley Caravans in Darlington. Thank you very much to Kimberley for letting us film at the event.

Yes they have a nice finish don’t they- it’s difficult to home in sometimes on a specific one and balance off pros and cons of each - good luck with the hunt - all the very best, David & Rachel 👍

Looks a lovely van and I have rear door fly screen envy but it’s too long for us. Thanks for taking us around. Take care Gill

I love the idea of a rear fly screen but I wonder if in real life it would take away the indoor / outdoor feel when you have a doors open? But then I also remember the Scottish midges 😂😂 Thanks Gill 💕 Rachel & David 💕

It’s a great van - such a shame they didn’t put an underslung gas tank and a decent oven in it (I’m sure there was another thing) - the finish is fantastic - just the practicality which let’s it down - I wonder how many folks have bought it and then found the challenge - all be it sometimes you adapt. All the very best, David & Rachel 👍

Interesting video, we stopped at Brownhills last week on way to Consort, and saw that van, but we thought it wasn't a patch on a Consort ,so much so that we ordered a Pace model, blown away by it Looking forward to getting it after our CV20

Ohhhh that’s interesting! We are going away with Trevor lock & his consort soon so will have a good nosey about. They weren’t at the NEC last month so we do need to look about! Happy van buying! Rachel & David

Good review, and I can see why it wouldn't suit you. There's limited room for doing expansion projects, such as fitting the lithium you have in your current van. As such I guess it depends on your preferences and future plans if this van suits you or not. We've actually got a Carrera 132 auto. Got it late in January and have already had 3 long weekends away in Scotland (we live there) in March. We made the move to this after 14 years with a caravan as we wanted a change and didn't fancy a coachbuilt. We don't find the gas bottles an issue, maybe that's down to being used to them in the caravan, and don't really miss the space as we have no plans to use it for anything else. As we're not really looking to add anything major we don't see it as having limited storage and manage to carry all we need with no issues. In fact we still have a couple of empty cupboards left to fill. The only upgrade we may make is to swap the AGM battery for lithium as you can get a better battery in the same space, but we're not looking to do days at a time off grid. I agree the oven is small but to be honest for 2 of us it's plenty big enough. We don't do full Sunday roasts when away as we're on holiday. If we want that we eat out. From an equipment point of view we carry the 2 gas bottles, Polar screen cover, 2 flatjack ramps, fresh water hose and Collapz waste pipes. Also have 2 Collapz 20ltr containers for fresh and waste, plus trolley, in case we don't want to drive to the service point. Have the usual kettle, toaster, pans, food, clothes, towels bedding etc., plus induction hob for when on unmetered hook up and a coffee pod machine. Beds do as singles or double, depends what we can be bothered making up. Everything goes in a cupboard when travelling as we have a rule that if it can't be packed away then it doesn't go. The only long things we need to store are the awning winder and golf brolley (did I mention we live in Scotland 😂) and these go under the drawer units. I'd be interested to know if anyone else owns a Carrera as, apart from ours, I've only seen them in dealers so far.

Quick question - do you live in Scotland by any chance 😂😂😂 I liked the van (Rachel) I thought the finish internally is far superior to ours. I liked the bin, clever built in table / worktop extension, both tables that go outdoors etc. It looked really well built and finished. I agree with you re the oven - as you will guess we hardly ever cook in ours either. David needs his legs chopping off at the knees to be fair then it would make it a lot easier to find a new van. I think the vans will sell well and I can understand why you would get one! There was certainly a lot of interest in the range @ Kimberley when we were there! I hope the weather is being kind to you in Scotland this bank holiday 💕💕 Rachel & David

The points I don’t like are the drawers under the bench restricting storage, internal gas bottles, small basic oven and how fiddle the rear bed is to make up as a double

David hated the internal gas bottles - such a waste of space. You are right about the oven - it’s very low down to. Out of the range it was our favourite as there were some good features but not on our list 💕 Thank you for your input 💕 Rachel & David

Hi David and Rachel a great review and I do like those swifts my neighbour has a 6m Carrera so similar to your CV20 and they look modern and light and airy I do like the layout and thoughtful ideas Swift has included and the 6.36m length gives much more space and the ability to create more storage and useable space Have you seen the Devon Aztec which is the same size and autosleeper Warwick XL? I would prefer the 6.36m length as it gives that bit more space inside I agree about the gas locker it's a waste of space All the best to you both Daniel

Morning Daniel - there weee some great touches in it which really added to it but the gas bottles was a deffo no no for us. I think we need to do a list of things we definitely don’t want to help rule some vans out as there are so many your head gets puddled. (Well mine does) I saw the Devon a little while ago and I think I liked it but that was prior to us looking so I might need to re visit it and we haven’t seen an XL for a while so maybe one to re visit again Thanks for your ideas and help Rachel & David 💕
