Tesla has introduced the 2024 Tesla Robotaxi Concept, officially named the Cybercab, which will be available for private consumers.

Production of the Cybercab is expected to begin in 2026, with pricing expected to be under $30,000.

Packed with Tesla’s latest autonomous driving technology, the Cybercab was showcased at an event with around 20 units available for test rides. According to Elon Musk, Tesla’s CEO, production is slated to begin in 2026. However, Musk has also acknowledged that he tends to be “optimistic” with production timelines, clarifying that it should be available no later than 2027 and priced below $30,000.
On the exterior, the Cybercab embraces a futuristic aesthetic with a full-width LED light bar across the front, similar to the Cybertruck. Other familiar Tesla design elements are present, such as the sharp lines running across the hood and the rear shoulders reminiscent of the Model Y. However, the standout design feature is the butterfly doors, giving the Cybercab a supercar-like feel, which may provide easier entry and exit, though practical use remains to be seen.
