Sequoia is truck based ladder on frame Tundra chassis with TT 3.5L V6. GH is an extended unibody car style suv with turbo 4-banger. Very different vehicles.
Great presentation on a great upgrade for the Toyota highlander. Met Maggie at the Chicago auto show. She is a genuine sweetheart. Friendly and humble, glad to see RU-vid fame hasn't gone to your head. Had a great time spending valentines day with my wife Chantal at the auto show She really must love me.
It was so great meeting you in person! Thank you so much for saying Hi. It makes me so happy anytime I meet a subscriber. Thank you for the kind words 😊
This woman is such a gem. I met her at the NYC auto show and she was such a nice and sweet person. She seems unapproachable, but believe me she’s not. Super nice and super cool. She could talk about cars all day and knows what she’s talking about. 🤙🏽
I like! I’ve been watching for the release since reading about it online. I knew it was coming before my local Toyota dealer had ever heard of it. I’ve got a 2017 RAV4 hybrid limited. It’s a great vehicle, but in the last few years my joints have stiffened. I’m looking to upgrade to a new vehicle that will be easier to entry and exit from. I’ve narrowed down my choices to the Toyota Crown limited and the Grand Highlander limited. I’ve also seen where Toyota will release a plugin hybrid Crown and seen unconfirmed rumors that there may even be a Highlander Prime in the works. Either one would hit the sweet spot for me! I always enjoy and appreciate your excellent reviews. Nicely done Ms. Maggie! 😁🏆
Hi Maggie! This is a “Grand” review! You are graceful and sophisticated. An exquisite professional. (I’m running out of adjectives…) I’m confident you’ll reach 20,000 subscribers, you truly are unstoppable. Prayers for continued and growing success 🙏
Maggie it's nice vehicle l think America might little problem with economic situation companies layoff in big tech who can afford these vehicles.? In 2024
Love this new Grand Highlander! Looks great! Lots of room! Intriguing powertrain option (Hybrid Max). The interior looks nice but it doesn't pop like the Palisade/Telluride, but that's ok - Toyota's engineering is way more advanced than Hyundai/Kia. It's very disappointing that I can't get a Platinum trim with a 2nd-row bench seat! Captain's chairs are simply Impractical for a family of five - you'd have to put one person in the 3rd row, taking up a ton of cargo space 😙 I want the 360 camera, the head-up display, and traffic jam assist (a feature that would be a huge benefit given my disability), but the Captain's chairs disqualify this from my shopping list. Rats!!! To be fair, Toyota is not alone in this family unfriendly practice of not allowing the customer to choose that 2nd row bench - the Korean twins do this, as does the new Mazda CX-90, and even the Suburban and it's derivatives. And there are more. The only mainstream/premium 3-row unibody CUVs that I know of where the 2nd row can be a bench in the top trim is the Explorer (maybe the Lincoln equivalent), and the Pilot/MDX with their removeable center position in the bench seat. Is it really that difficult on the assembly line to allow one more choice for the customer?
Looks like this is direct competition for the Kia Telluride right down to the storm cloud blue color and seven seats. It's a larger version of the Rav4. And it's surprisingly better than the Sequoia, especially the space behind the third row seats. Nice! 👍🏽
I like the grand highlander . I will be checking out the new vehicles for 2024 . Your next video can you mention the prices of new vehicle that you review. Love your videos and like always keep motoring . I I’m looking into Lexus getting some ideas of what comes with the vehicle. If not happy with Lexus I will be looking at the l land cruiser 😅I love gauges in vehicles. Have a great day.
These videos you make are so informative and fun! Your enthusiasm and smiles are so pleasant! You have a new SUB! I hope you get to 20,000! Keep making great content! 🙂
The hybrid max platinum engine...how good will this be? I currently have a 2021 V6 Platinum highlander and thinking of upgrading but the engine is my only gripe. Is this at par with the V6 3.5 lite engine as regards reliability. That 362 horses is tempting. Anyone know?
Looks very similar in size to my wife’s 2017 Acadia Limited which she thinks is the right size. Drove Sienna’s prior to that. Not on the market right now
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video looking forward to seeing this crossover here especially when the hybrid is available and I just took possession of the 2023 Toyota RAV4 PRIME
Hi! Referred over by Toyota Jeff. :) A question I have about the Grand Highlander is about the middle seating. Is the middle seating still comfortable when the 3rd row is flat for storage?
Give me a break even the 2nd row does not have enough leg room for an adult. It is an insult to put an adult in 3rd row. Toyota should allow the 2nd row slide all the way back to third row and be able to remove third row.
Not having a “prime” option for this is a let down. I have to see the starting price but the Mazda CX-90 might steal sales from this. They should discontinue the current Highlander make an LE version for this also and call it a day. It’s silly business.
I don't know what's more beautiful...you or the SUV. You know the power this Highlander has is about the same as the famous 5.7 V8 3UR FE engine. This power train is a tad more fuel efficient. Some people are beginning to question if Toyota is as reliable now compared to before. This power train is very complex and has a higher chance of being less reliable. Storm cloud 🌩 is an interesting name for a color.
Id love that high spec engine but the look of tge higher spec grand highlanders look worse the higher you go.. The base model..in white with the black grill looks the best...and the high end fully spc'd edition looks like crap with that flat gray. Ill wait a year or two till the kinks are worked out and any extra upgrades are added....along with an off road version.
Does the market really need yet another 3-row crossover? Where are the mid-size, 2 row, rear-biased SUV's with actual offroad capability? That's what I would like to see. I don't think people are having that many kids in the US nowadays so not sure where this obsession with 3-row SUV's is coming from. Looks like a decent car, but in the end, just another front-driven appliance with zero excitement for the driver.
@@naveenthemachine recalls come and go with every vehicle. Though I highly doubt there will be lots of recalls considering the 2.5 hybrid has been in production a while and the same goes for 2.4 turbo. Maybe the hybrid max? Then again, I’m just making assumptions
@@naveenthemachine as far as I know, the cable issue you are referring to was quietly fixed by Toyota. Apparently some cover of some sort has been installed on some 2022 models and all models going forward.
