@@Toyotajeff - hello Jeff I being driving sienna since 2008.i have driven 6 cyl, 4cyl( which came before the hyb came - it used to be 2.5l engine only available in LE Fwd model) 6 cyl with upgraded hp ) didn’t BUY THE NEW ONE AS main two draw backs 1) u can’t take it out the second row seats 2) 3 row windows are not openable 3) waiting for them to upgrade the hyb during mid cycle fresh ( hoping the can update and can be upto date with tech with par to new generations) I heard they are coming up with Plt model in Canada now Bytheway I am from Canada( Alberta)
The three things I dislike about the 2024 Toyota Sienna are, dealing with Toyota sales reps (my area), the zero inventory, and $6-$10K dealer market adjustment fees. In all seriousness, as someone looking for more family room coming from a mid size truck, not being able to remove the middle seats is a miss in my book. Also, nearly $50K and doesn’t have the latest safety features???
I paid under MSRP at a rural NC dealership this year and didn't have a wait. Other dealers aren't me wanted markups and had wait times but if you around you can get one and get a deal.
I’ve owned two Toyotas in my life time the first 1978 Corrolla lasted over 300000 miles without any major problems, and my recent 2019 Tundra SR5 not one problem yet just oil changes.
What I can't get behind on the XSE FWD is 20 inch wheels. This isn't a sporty car! Put more comfortable and durable 18s on it. Also give it an eight seat option!
Just test drove Kia, Honda, and Toyota. Honda drives the best and has the most functional interior from the front row back. Kia has the best tech but doesn’t drive great and has the least functional front interior. Toyota has massive mileage advantage and the most functional front area (for me) but the least useful design from the front row back with only 7 seats versus 8 in most trim levels. It now is behind Honda on tech. It isn’t as quick and smooth under hard acceleration as the Honda or Kia but the mileage is so much better and in every situation but hard acceleration, it is just as smooth. But its hard to argue with 36 city and I found it the most comfortable in the front row.
@@hanko5750 Nah, its only a tiny bit bigger than the prius battery, and the latest active air cooled prius and camry batteries are going 300k with no issues. Many examples out there.
I bought my 2024 XSE in Nov 2023 and got my second key in two months. You have to call your car dealership or check the app on your phone. The recall is for the second key.
XSE more sporty look, black grill, black side mirrors and sporty suspension. The other models feel floaty boaty. The XSE drives a bit more similar to Odyssey.
I would say it needs 300 HP hybrid or not. If you are taking your family and their luggage on a long road trip through the mountains and hills this will struggle. Your battery will be used up halfway up the mountain and you will be left on the 190 HP engine for a heavy vehicle with 800 pounds loaded in it. I don’t mind the interior but a similarly priced Hyundai Palisade doesn’t have too much less space (it is designed like a minivan without stow and go or sliding doors) but offers many more features and more power. It has a good v6 and heated 3rd row seats… If this was a true minivan than maybe, but this could be designed much better for the price.
Every American family thinks they need a ton of HP. Trust me, you don't. Most don't even need AWD/4WD. I've lived in the mountains for the past 10 years at 9000 ft elevation, and we rarely need to use 4WD and my other 2WD SUV only puts out 190HP. My wife drives the 4WD. My home & majority of my neighbors have moderate to high inclines in their driveways, and they're all dirt roads in our neighborhood. We never struggle going uphill/downhill whenever traveling to the nearest town for work/groceries or with heavy payloads in our vehicles. This minivan would be more than enough for us and nearly every other family in the market for a minivan. But yes, this minivan is still overpriced for what you're getting. But then again, so is nearly every other new vehicle.
@@jicalzad I know, the majority of people don’t need AWD or more than 5” of ground clearance. You just need decent tires and skill. I just love the smoothness of a v6. Our 2016 LaCrosse has 303 HP from a NA v6. It is such a nice car to drive. Sure, it doesn’t get great MPG (22) but I am fine with that for the smoothness. A minivan doesn’t need power for in town, MPG is way more important. I just like the idea of a v6 is you are taking your family on a long trip- a v6 will be more pleasant.
You'll do just fine. 0-60 this is about the same as a ten year old Odessey. People made it up hills just fine thirty years ago with much slower minivans. We had a rental Sienna out west and climbed some really high mountains with a full load without a problem.
Haha, they are selling the heck out of their hybrids, because they were the leaders in hybrid technology. (Yes, I'm also disappointed in their lack of safety sense 3.0, for example - wish they were leaders in driverless cars.) As far as reliability, only Honda comes close. What are you even talking about?!?
Sorry .. I'll avoid ALL TOYOTAs for now as they have motor failures everywhere I turn. And you can add transmission failures now with the Tacoma Different tin isn't going to fix the issue
very disappointing tech…tiny MID display and infotainment screen. They should at least give it the bigger MID display on higher trims as standard since this car is almost at the end of its current gen
You do realize that Toyota is admired by every other manufacturer for being THE leader in bulletproof, high quality and reliable hybrid systems, right? Perhaps not... Do a little research before saying no.
Went to Valencia toyota.....manager was arrogant enough to push their hybrid models.....I told him if I was worried about gas prices ill do away forst with my yukon xl.......no thanks to your hybrid.....so you can force me to pay thousands when battery needs changing😂😂😂😂😂...
