I think those boards look good on the truck. As a 46 year Auto Industry guy, both body shop, and insurance appraiser, I agree that the scratch looks like a key job. People can be real jerks. Sorry that happened to you, my friend.
the front and rear bolt brackets the slotted bolt hole the bolts that go into the slotted are are only meant to be backed out and you can slide the running board into position then replace the remaining bolts
Man hate that somebody did that two you. Get that side resprayed and keep moving forward. Just leveled my tundra and did some 35x12.5/18s D rated Toyo at3 . Really brought it up a bit higher still maintained a good ride.
Running boards look great! The Toyota factory running boards have been great for me. Like you said, even to kick your boots off and it does make it easier to get into the truck! That sucks about the scratch man, some people are so shitty. Definitely get it fixed though
Did you chock.the tyres before you worked underneath...? I grew up on a in the country... we always did that with the truck and cars... Love the snow... I'm in Australia and it's summer hot!!! Enjoy aspects of the different country you have, and what you have to cope with at times... We don't get snow...at all!
No running board, no block heater, no recovery hooks from the factory....I am running into too many issues with my 2023, enough to make me consider trading it in on a F150! I got the predator side steps, which I really like, but they do stick down quite a bit, those look good!
I went to a hockey game at the metro centre around 1990 with a new black Toyota sr5. Your scratch looks very similar to mine and I’m sure it was keyed. What a shame, some people can’t stand to see anything nice.
Waiting for an update on this transition! What are some things you find noticeably different between the tundra and other half tons? Like ram 1500. Owner impressions are far more valuable than straight comparisons.
Looks good. With all these full size trucks changing to EV and 6cylinder junk. Toyota may be my next purchase. I haven't been following you for a while due to being busy myself. Hope business is going good and family is still safe. Keep up the blogs. 🍻🍻
I have a question on your Toyota steps. I was going to purchase the same ones for my 2024 Tundra and the parts lady at the Toyota dealership said this We do not sell to many of this style because honestly, it's a horrible design. They sit really close to the cab and no room for your foot to step on. What’s your thought on this? Do they set too close to the cab and is there no room to put your foot to step on to get in and out of the truck?
That really sucks if somebody actually scratched your truck on purpose. Too bad there aren't some surveillance cameras around so you can check them to see who did it. Then you'd know whose fingers to break. 😏
What tires are you planning on going with? I saw one of your old videos on the general grabber x3's and I put them on my obs f-350 I love them so far.. good in the snow.
That’s so infuriating. I feel for you. I’ve had two of my vehicles in the past keyed. Stupid people who are jealous and don’t wanna work so they can afford a nice truck. They’re just lucky I didn’t catch them when they keyed mine cause oh boy.
Do you not have someone in your country that does smart repairs? Got hold of a second hand car dealer they must know someone that can do it for you for substantially less than that in the Uk that would coat approx £100.
