Excellent work, Connor! I was first introduced to Angel last season by Lady Hawk... what an amazing mama! And the way she protected her second chick from Tom, yet seemed to know that he would grow into a papa worth keeping ;-) I just know he's going to be an awesome dad this season! Thanks for update. Angel is quite the beautiful hawk and did so well with hawklet last year. I think Tom is now ready for round 2 better than round 1 of papahood :) !

We have a leucistic red-tailed hawk down here closer to Chattanooga too. I wonder if they are related? It appears 100% white except for a few dark feathers in the wings. It’s the second year I’ve seen it in the exact same spot close to Exit 20 off of I-75 near Cleveland, TN.

I think the first thing that strikes me is your prev. Cam comments of how much Angel's back and wing feathers have gone so much more red. Nest is really Small. I see the Clutch is 1.5 eggs.Hope angel has on the low side of 2 as last yr. We can count on tom not to lower that thru Predation this yr. BE fan here watching BBL nest currently W/3 egg clutch. but will certainly check in on Super Mom Angel when she starts laying eggs. thanks Conner.

YAY for an ant-proof new cam! LOL! That sounds so silly - modern tech defeated by the ancient ant - with - High Hopes - he had - hiiiigh hopes ... remember that song? LOL! the ant cant move a rubbertree plant - but can short a cam
