loved the crew. They were fantastic. The rear of the ship with the covered eating are was a great place to relax and have a drink or bite to eat. We sat there when we sailed away from St Thomas. It was night time when we left and we sat and enjoyed the view of the island all lit up. We had a balcony room for three. WAY to small. Once the couch became a bed you could not get by to the balcony, also had to crawl from the bottom up to get into bed. We are use to bigger ships like the Escape and Getaway. I found this ship was a little chopped up. Meaning it didn't flow from front to back easily. The high though was the crew. They really made us feel special.
I'm ready to go again on the sky I'm booked may 5th for a redo of my 9 day cruise in May of 23 I'm going again because of the crew they are awsome on this ship
My size of ship, we are in our 70's and dont need flowriders, waterslides, Disco dancing - I can do dad dancing. We tend to cruise on refurbished ships of a similar age which are not mega fancy. Not bothered about a balcony on the basis that the view from your cabin looks at the industrial side of the port!! More fun being outside people watching and flexible views. Looking to go on our first NCL cruise next year so a great review.
We just had the 9 day tour from Miami and had fun. We liked the ship and its crew. Only thing is maybe some variation on the menu from the free eating facilty's on the back of the ship(?) Otherwise don't change anything.
Great video! Just one point that wasn't mentioned- while there is a Starbucks onboard, and it accepts Starbucks gift cards, you can't redeem your stars at that location.
After taking an NCL cruise for the first time last year on Norwegian Star, we are taking a second cruise on Norwegian Sky in December. We have booked Free at Sea and just wondered how the speciality restaurants work. Last time it was a fixed rate rather than the a la carte menus this time around. Do you get one choice of each course to choose from?
Can I ask those of you who have sailed on her before, whether the smoke from the Casino drifts out to the Atrium area? I hate the smell & my cabin is nearby & I'm worried about it. Many thanks.😮

@@FreestyleTravelers thank you. I’m debating whether to go on the NCL Gem for a 7 day cruise to Canada and New England or do the 11 day trip onboard the NCL sky which has a better itinerary but there are some mixed reviews about the food.
Im looking for a new NCL ship going to places beyong the Caribbean east and West. Not North Atlantic around Iceland or Mediterranean though.i have been on Breakaway Epic Escape Pearl Getaway. This ship reminds me of the Pearl. Except for the observation deck area. They need to stop saying that the Local or O'Sheehan's is open 24/7 like many cruise lines the round the clock food is not so anymore. Not sure Africa is a cruise destination and it would depend on where in Asia.
