Never had the original but I'm deffo getting this one. Loved him in the Beast Wars the Gathering/Ascending comics, especially when he and transmetal Megatron from the original show came face to face. Megatron was suitably unimpressed 😂 remember reading Megz part in David Kayes voice.
En la imagen de la caja se ve debajo de magmatron una hombrera de colmillo de big convoy🦣, tendremos esa figura en un futuro? En qué escala estará y si será menos shellformer que su versión original
I think the old toy pulled off the combined beast mode better. 😅 But the individual dinosaurs and the combined robot look amazing. Almost no visible robot kibble in beast mode which has always been hard to pull off and a huge robot that doesn't skimp out on articulation. The best part, and what I was most worried about, is that there's no partsforming other than the dinonparts that detach to form the sword and shield, which is acceptable for me. I was on the fence, but I'm glad I've taken a chance on this guy. Waiting on my pre-order from BBTS to fulfill.
First time seeing side by side comparisons of the transformations for both iterations. Really cool how HasTak were able to engineer Magmatron about the same yet improve the articulation and overall size of the figure. Biggest selling point for me is the Commander Class figures rarely if ever disappoint, and the plastic quality is about the best you'll see in any mainline Transformer. Just ordered one from Amazon this weekend now that the preorder finally went up here in Canada for the regular price.
The new legacy design for Magmatron looks AMAZING! I also love the addition of little details, like covering more of the landsaurus' belly in beast mode, to make it looks more like on organic being, and how the robot mode's left shoulder has a small peg for the seasaurus to attack its head to, instead of just lying on the shoulder. However, if I have to criticise one LITTLE thing about the overall figure, its that in the magmasaurus combiner mode, the skysaurus just looks like he is laying on it's back when it combines with the other two, instead of looking like a part of the combiner that changed its shape in order to become a part of a larger beast. That's about the only thing that the original Magmatron figure did better than the legacy remake. Still, even with that criticism, the legacy remake looks truly awesome, and I'm looking forward to see what more Transfomers Toy Innovations we will see in the future...looking at you, Cang Toys' Shuraking combiner!😁
While I like dinosaurs, robots, combinations, and combining dinosaur robots, as cool as the combined Magmasaurus mode is...when you look at it from a certain angle...it kind of looks like a dino gangbang...😅😂. Still, the whole concept of Magmatron is really cool, and I really do wish that he'd make more appearances beyond just comics and Japanese only Transformers shows.
I have been waiting what feels like FOREVER for you to reuse this song again, omg as soon as I heard it I was like I know that intro, I've not found it online, and I have no idea what it's called, but I love this song that you use!
Another thing I forgot to mention is this toy gives me OG Magnaboss and Tripredacus vibes but done so much better. I guess Takara saw that making three animals that look good, but have to also transform into robots AND combine to form a super robot really meant that something would have to suffer. In Magnaboss's case, Ironhide was a brick in beast mode, a shellformer and a mess of kibble in robot mode with no hands to speak of. Silverbolt barely transformed and had a huge eagle on the back of the robot. Prowl was the only decent one. So honestly they made a good call by doing away with the three smaller robots and just having the beasts combine.
@@andreyofdoom I know that. What I meant to say is I'm glad they never tried to fit in three smaller robot modes for each animal, which would've compromised the main event, the super robot.
@@enrique6335 very true! I now understand you are saying Magmatron was not a combiner of other robots by design originally. So his total robot mode did not have to have sacrifices
@@Byrdstar6423-un3me Who, Magnaboss? If so, yeah, I agree. He was the only Beast Wars combiner I had as a kid (still have him) and he was so fun. Admittedly he hasn't aged that well but he and Tripredacus are the kinds of characters thatr would fit so well with the current Legacy toyline.
That combined dinosaur feature is dreadful to look at! I can’t imagine anyone would ever display that mess, otherwise the individual dinosaurs look good and the combined robot mode is very good.
One of my favorite Beast Wars Neo characters…so hideous in the Dino combine beast mode but in his Robot combiner mode whoa….so badass! 🔥 I hope one day we get a MP of Magmatron!
I have the original Magmatron so honestly i don't need this new one. Yes it's better but it doesn't do enough different to justify dropping £90+ on him.
@@fishpopStick with the old one. I wanted it as a kid back then, but never got it. Instead I was given Tripredicus by my grandmother because she found it on clearance, and I don’t regret loving the toy, even if it wasn’t the original Magmatron.
@@MrGojira95 Aw man, my family had Tripredacus twice and both times he got battered and broken... I wish young me took better care of their toys cos i had things like Polar Claw and Bantor. I still have my RID Optimus and Magnus from back in the day but they are in ROUGH shape.
@@fishpop You can imagine my face when my first Transformers toy on my birthday that wasn’t beast wars be Armada Unicron and Armada “Bendy” Optimus Prime. Didn’t care that I didn’t get Armada Megatron. Getting Unicron was better.
Is the opposite in that case the new have a more good plastic and more complex transformation (im talking beacause I have them both ) but if you said that in general yes I agree@@twoshieldsandsomemilk
