I was waiting for primevsprimes review but yours came out first. 😅 That being said all my questions were answered with your review and now I’m comfortable with paying the price for it. Thank you and good luck with your RU-vid channel! 👍🏼
Great, thorough review! Just for dinosaur nerdiness - Giganotosaurus was possibly slightly longer than T-Rex by a few feet (it's still up for debate), but Rex was much more bulky & muscular. The Megatron mould having a larger head is actually accurate 😄
11:47 I’m glad about that. Every time I transform Kingdom Megatron/Gnashteeth, it feels like the rubber is gonna come off of the frame. 29:07 It’s supposed to be the forms merging together. Gotta have a bit of imagination when space robots are turning into dinosaurs.
Yeah people praise the kingdoms megatrons beast mode articulation while completely ignoring the problem with the rubber that comes from the articulation: peeling
Had mine for about a few days already and love this fantastic set😁 Great review but a couple of small things: - The robot heels on the Giganotosaurus can tuck in fully in beast mode. - The peg for the shield should be down to connect to the Gigas tail in Magmasaur mode. - The Giga hands plug into tiny holes on the hip skirts
Besides having him as the BWN commander of his unit, you can also repurpose him as the Beast Machines Maximal incarnation. Hasbro had imported the figure for its BM line during the 2000's and did some minor changes like color and tooling, they didn't change the Predacon symbols to Dinobot symbols, but he was relatively the same as his Japanese release. Here he was a Maximal and was part of the Dinobots unit. While T-Wrecks *was** the leader of the group, the BotCon comic he appeared in loosely-stated that Magmatron was the leader (because T-Wrecks himself said the word 'boss' to his face) of the unit. So if you happen to own the Kingdom T-Wrecks then you have not only a BWN figure, but also a BM figure.
Great review 👍. I just got mine from Comcs & Cocktails the other day, he's a brilliant figure definitely feels like a Commander (glad he wasn't a Haslab 😅). Hope we get another BW Commander like Magnaboss or Tripredicus.
Star Saber and Deszaras were amazing. I understand that many people had bad luck on one of them, but to say they somehow don’t deserve commander status is simply wrong.
@@Joseph_Drew_III I'm not saying that about quality lol Victory Saber and Deathsaurus look brilliant, Haslab's are just a bit awkward for me to get 😅. Which is why I appreciate Magmatron even more since he could've easily been one 👍.
Ya I just feel like characters such as Magmatron, Big Convoy, Gigatron (aka RID Megatron) and others should be Commanders. It’s why I can’t stand the Fire Convoy and Ultra Magnus Haslab. Your taking a character that a ton of RID fans wanted a new non titanium version and you put it behind a $250 price point. It’s stupid I feel that Haslab should be reserved for stuff like Unicron, Primus, Transformers Victory, and Transformers Zone. You know series that aren’t as well know in the west as say Beast Wars II or Neo.
A bit long, but that's because there was so much going on. All the different comparisons were greatly appreciated, as was the time taken on the individual saurs. Only thing I could complain about is perhaps check the white balance on your next review, as some detail got flushed out. Other than that? good stuff.
Honestly white balance was fine on camera and during editing. But trying to export was such a chore that I messed up the settings on the output and didn’t know until it was already uploaded. Room for improvement there!
I absolutely can’t wait to get mine I absolutely love the Magmasaur mode I find it to be a really unique alternate mode and the robot mode and the separate Dinosaur modes are absolutely fantastic Magmatron is one of my all time personal favourites amongst the Predacons.
Amazing review! Looking forward for more. It's really Wired that they managed to nail so many things on such a complex figure and then screw up the Giganotosaurus' jaw movement so badly.
Nice to see a review on Magmatron finally. Despite not having Jetfire I think all of the Commander Class figures have been pretty great and amazing value for the price point. Top 3 so far are Sky Lynx, Armada Prime, and 86 Ultra Magnus. While Magmatron doesn't quite wow me in quite the same way, despite some quirks, and fickle transformations still looks like a solid, well engineered, and imposing transformer. That Combined Dino mode though is quite possibly one of the most hilariously cursed thing in recent Transformers to date. Really, what were the designers on when they developed that originally?
In my headcanon, the Landsourus is Beast Wars Megatron and the Skysourus is Terrasour. But because Seasourus wasn't with them, they couldn't combine. They were always two parts of a whole, but they just couldn't combine.
I’m looking forward to getting this guy in June. I’ve had mine pre-order since October and I can’t wait to get my hands on him. I hope we get a Big Convoy and a Galbatron in the future considering we got a Magmatron now.
woah congrats on getting the jump on this guy and for your first video no less! good luck on your channel, really solid in depth review. maybe it's just your camera and you already have one, but if not look into getting a light diffuser, should help with all that bright wash out happening on the close ups. really can't wait to get this guy myself, he looks like so much fun and like he'll have such a huge shelf presence
So close to perfection, but landsaurus's head is so small, and his torso and tail so short, it really hurts his look. I'm glad you saw it too. But it's forgivable. Megatron's T-rex head was too small too (For both modes) so fff
You know i cant wait to get this figure this summer this will be my first commander but why does the joints so so cheap? Or not cheap but it sounds like there gonna snap at any moment and the threesome mode looks interesting idk how to feel about this figure but GOD DAMN does he look like a beatly titan he looks like he never missed gym day
I did end up getting him from in demand toys from the uk. Thankfully they shipped to the us and now magmatron is now in my collection. Had him about a week.
@@Whovastron ahh okay! I'm currently trying to get my Card to work as In demand isn't accepting mine, but once I do I'm going to be really excited to get him here in the US now instead of in July!
I see this is your first video. Well done! If I may offer one criticism, you are a little whisper-y. If you feel weird about speaking up a tad, perhaps you could start off by bumping up the gain on your microphone a bit. Either way, I think you got a real good thing going here!
@@HerohammerStudios What I think you're referring to is tone, not volume. I do agree that the mellower tone is a welcome change from the clickbait-y bombast of someone like PrimeVsPrime. But what I'm saying is that, from my perspective of being a guy who was laying in bed trying not to disturb his partner, I physically couldn't hear what he was saying, that's all.
