I've got two tips my man.. First, You don't need to sit in 4th whilst on the highway. I'd recommend using 5-6th as much as possible just due to heat and heat expansion within the internals aka premature wear due to excessive heat. Second try to stay on the outside of the lane when cruising around people, better visibility down the road and you're better seen in mirrors when doing so. I know it seems sketch at first being close to other cars but it's safer that way. If you're not around other cars then you can stay towards the inside of the lane.
Congratulations on the new ZX6R! I picked up a 23 model in black/red back in May. Best upgrade for this bike, hands down, is the Yoshimura A2 slip-on exhaust. Quality and sound compared to all the other slip-ons out there is top notch.

Your lane position could use some work. When you’re in the far left lane, you wanna be in the right side of the lane, all other lanes, you wanna be in the left side of the lane to keep yourself visible
Not when turning. When you're turning, you must stay close to the curb. Reason being; if you turn wide, and someone is behind you, they could not realize you're turning and collide with you. I would fail my motorcycle test if I turned from the outside.
if you are going to just cruise on the highway i would just recommend staying in 6th gear and just cruise if the road is somewhat cleared and traffic is fine and rolling i wouldnt keep the bike in a high gear and keep riding it out in 4th or 5th idk just me maybe but great riding overall
Gotta shift all the way through the gears especially on the highway. That quick shifter will not fail you so don’t be discouraged to use it. Listen to your engine, watch your rpm’s on the freeway when you’re cruising. We’re all dying for you to shift gears and your bike is too!! Drop a gear to disappear.. otherwise get all the way up the gears and save gas money bruh!! Great riding !

Such a sick bike. Nice job and congrats. You're riding in too low of a gear, and going to increase engine wear, and burn a hole in your wallet. Always stay in 6th when cruising on the highway. Downshift when needed.
Zx6rs have better power higher in the rpm range. Yes you can go into 6th in low speed and bog the engine but that's not what you buy a zx6r for. I doubt you have even riden a supersport in your life judging by the comment.

Came here to say this. You should definitely look it up bc HOV is safer. You have the shoulder if an idiot crosses the double line. My state isn't motorcycle friendly, and they even allow bikes to be in toll lanes for free or HOV lanes.

I just got one a few days ago with the krt color, 2024 like yours, waiting for insurance to kick in..i kinda hope there’s a way for us to install a cruise control on these bikes, the ninja 650 has it so i kinda want it too Lol , I don’t even have a usb port on mine..
I dont know if its just me but if you are cruisin at 70+ mph you should kick it up to 5th gear bro. I think you are burning gas more than you should being at 4th gear or at least I can hear your bike screaming to be on 5th gear.
If wind is bothering you and you dont wanna lay on your gas tank scoot your butt back a bit and straighten your back leaning forward just a bit you will feel like you look funny but the wind will glide right by you

Break in period is more for the dealer than it is for you and that bike because if something comes loose after 600 miles and falls off your at fault if you ride it hard out of the gate and something happens their responsible I always tighten down everything after I buy a new bike. I’ve had my headers be so loose there hand tight. If you’re going to ride it hard, ride it hard off the lot from the rip They’ve actually done study if you baby a bike during the break in period and then ride it hard. They’ve noticed little less horsepower did a bike that’s been broken in on a dyno with 0 miles on it
You just shift up a quick shifter is really clutchless shifting from 1st up if you have a quick shifter you can shift up without the clutch but to down shoft you need the clutch
$4,000 trade in for a 2022 ninja 400, that's ridiculous. You probably paid $7,000. $3,000 loss + your mods = expensive mistake. You coulda sold the bike on Facebook marketplace for at least $6k.
Plus the dealer refunded all my extras (tires, warranty, total loss so another 1200 bones refunded and that’s the prorated price so over all I’m good. 4500 plus 1200 I’m already ahead of the game 🤷🏽♂️ but I appreciate you pocket watching
No thats a fair price, I paid about 6k for mine brand new. Typically, mods don't raise the value. If you wanna get extra for upgrades you have to replace the stock parts and sell the parts separately. Or you can sell the stock parts
