All brands do a strange job. Weight, size, design and power: all too much. Too fat. Too big. Where are the modern, fast, agile cars?!? Even cars like a 911 GT3 is too big and heavy. It should be possible to built cars with that attributes?! After around 2010 something went wrong!
Okay okay , the wagon look 80% better than the sedan. And because of this I feel like the sedan will become a slow burner and more people will end up liking it
This M5T definitely has more road presence than the RS6. Especially in brighter colors. I wish they offer MP parts from factory as an option like aero packs at AMG that would really elevate the look.
@@Tomoyo0827really? What else does it need? Looks good from factory already. My only complaint are the wheels. The configurator gave some boring looking wheels to choose from. 🤷🏿♂️
You all hate on the hybrid and the weight of the new M5 Touring, but most of you have probably never even been inside to drive one. I’m not saying I have either-I don’t even have a car yet. But I bet 90% of you have never been in a luxury car or anything more expensive than your mom's Toyota💀
@@bigmacdaddy1234 oh yes it does matter. because when you push the more weight with the power, it is still same metal and other parts. and with with more force and weight, they will wear and damage much faster.
You would have to be insane to swap a B5 for this car. The B5 is in another league of class and rarity. And the interior is WAY better. The interior colour options on the M5 are really poor.
Those rear arches looking quite weird from the side. Front is ok, from the side looks weird and rear looks really good but In the matter of styling cyrrent Rs6 is the King and if im not mistaken performance version is faster?
I see it still has a face only a mother could love, also what is the point in the V8 if the limiter makes it sound like shit? might as well be electric 😄
@@pevvex4452 BMW had no way of winning everyone over. It was either pull a mercedes and take away the v8 and have everyone cry about no v8 or keep the heavy v8 and EV motor and have everyone complain about weight. I think I like their choice. As long as it drives good.
The seam between the plastic bumper covers and the metal bodywork on modern cars is really poorly done. It doesn’t matter how expensive the car is they all look like a terrible seam between two different types of materials. They have to use different paint formulations because they’re different materials underneath, so the colors never match quite right and they don’t age the same way.

Hey. I have bmm 5 serie m car 2023 years model. White color, with black on all thing (back lights, etch etch) and it looks SO much better!! Not even a contest, all friends and even the sales Manager in Sweden thinks the old bmw ( that’s bmw I have) looks so much better out. I have everything on it, panorama, radar, self driving, best speakers etch etch ) and I really love it. Good video like always!!! Keep up the good work. Best’s regards from Sweden
I am asking all reviewers to mention something about auto stop/start function and whether it can be deactivated. Does being a hybrid allow manufacturers to NOT even put in auto stop/start? Any car I look at that I really like but has an auto stop/start it gets cancelled. I don't care how good the rest of the car is.
I am wondering too, it could start with the electric motors with battery, but that will also turn off the engine. But even my 10 years old BMW has a feature to turn it off so...
All weight and look agurment aside, it really worries me when a manufacturer highlight the PRICE of the car as a selling point. As if they don't have any confidence in the performance of the car, but hey, at least is Cheaper right?
People complains about weight as if they have to pick car up everytime they park it. As long as its drives good and nimble like other m cara who gives a damn about weight .... european cars were liked coz they felt heavy and satisfying to steer all of the sudden weight is a problem if she can pull its weight good no complains
@@d3sidude when people are busy fooling themselves that they’re going to take their huge four-door sedan to track days and auto cross and that they’re going to go every weekend carving up the canyon, the extra weight is so so important. lol.
@@_Chev_Chelios it has almost same power to weight as m3 dude its all about physics if they can tweak suspension fine it would be fine plus they are giving you v8 or should they put 4 cylinder to reduce weight would that make you happy
I don't want to criticize either the weight, the hybrid system, or the technical reasons why it has to be designed this way. I just want to say that Demagoj Dukec is totally incompetent. He is not a designer worthy of handling projects like an M5. It's hard to design such a horrendous car when coming from the most beautiful one ever.
I drive a BMW so I'm not a hater. But this car gets pissed on by the Audi RS6. Doesn't matter if they make it more powerful and a faster 0-60 for bragging rights, Audi are the king of the sports estate.
@@bigmacdaddy1234 no shit the car is heavy yes its fast but loses its whole mobility due to weight im good with my f90 2021 which has everything you need
People so negative about the weight and hybrid, without having actually driven the car. Is it not early to judge? Great video, design of the car looks great!
Porsche did this wagon with the panamera. Yes. The internet of RU-vid really spoke well about it, however when it came to sells. People just didn't but that body type. I'm not seeing this wagon M5 doing better than the normal limousine one.
I hate how you say the 'doors' aren't important when in fact that's the prime example as to why the RS6 is better. Audi did in fact make sure the doors and rear quarter were bespoke. Nothing is interchangeable on the RS6 and that's what makes it more special. Just look at the brutal transitions of the rear quarter on the G8X M3.....same issue. Not bespoke.
I would prefer the M3 Touring, but since we can't have that in the United States, I'll take this instead. My F87 S55 isn't going to give me shit as far as trade-in value.
Ordered mine beyond excited for it to arrive next year - I get it splits opinion but for me really like the looks and don’t think weight will impact much
Geez, these BMWs just get uglier every year. I don’t get it. I’ve had a couple Ms over the years but they’re just not as satisfying as an equivalent Porsche.
Honestly I want to love it but it looks really tall and heavy and I think the rs6 looks much better although I think they messed up that version A6s interior. Thought they would have just made a bigger M3 as the proportions on that look great.
Hybrid vehicle technology is fantastic. Electrification takes performance and efficiency to a new level. You can reject it because you like old technology. But anyone who has driven an electrified combustion engine knows that this technique is fantastic and superior.
Def looks better than the sedan. For some reason, the rear looks better on this than the sedan. On the sedan it's just dull. I'm glad my i4 doesn't have that tiny thing and rather a proper selector. That's the negative about the newest or LCI Beemer's. Heading to Joe's after this - that was a nice shout-out to your mate :)
Why the carbon roof though? I'm guessing it's for design because it definitely isn't going to help with the weight. The saloon is 2.4 tonnes so I'm guessing this'll be close to 3 tonnes 😊
BMW's recent uninspiring weight and reliability reputation is somehow forgotten when you lay your eyes on the design of this new M5 touring. It's so sexy. I feel if you have the cash to maintain the M5, then you can enjoy it for what it is, a stellar performance machine, combining luxury, thrills, and presence. I love it despite the weird plastic pieces on the grill. It's f----n cool!
Beautiful car! Gear selector not an issue. Levers gave mechanical advantage in days when the lever actually moved the gears. This is a switch to basically select forward, neutral, park,or reverse. In manual, mode gears are changed with the paddles. One selected you won't touch the "lever" until you stop or need to reverse. Same as objections to having temperature controls on a screen. Once set, you hardly need to touch them whilst driving. It's just nostalgia for the old days. Me? Total petrolhead
Wow. They managed to make the Touring/Estate/Station Wagon look bad. Of all the wagons to bring to the US, we get this abomination. Too little too late.
