Australia customers are so lucky - there is neither 100% nor 40% tariff to prevent them chose EVs from Chinese OEMs - they are really good value and quality.
@@misterjay4347 They are good build quality. Only when you test drive them you will feel. I am in the UK and I am enjoying MG4 at the moment - hope can have more choices :) Can see more Chinese EVs if visit China, there is something called 144-Hour Visa-Free Transit scheme for British and American citizens.
It's a blessing and a curse. You don't the tariffs as you no longer have a car industry for it to destroy. Tariffs are there to protect the given countries inferior products and keep them alive. It would be nice to make them have to compete on a level playing field. As the customer loses out, we can either have a lesser German (for example) product, or pay a premium for something like this. I get it's to save jobs, but it makes the OEMs all agree to all evolve slower. The bag EVs are fine, but not a patch on what China has to offer now.
To be a greener environment, Australia government have to subside buyer $20,000 rebate on all EV Cars , I hope this is going to happen 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉❤❤Thank You guys it was a fun drive 😂😂cheers......
@@shawndonadieu4084 same thing, byd dolphin is only like 15,000 aud drive away in China, it is toooooo expensive here in australia. I think it is the biggest problem for customers like me haha.
This is not a Model Y killer. This is a Ford killer, a GM killer, a VW killer, a Stellantis killer, an Audi killer, a BMW killer. I probably forgot a few. ;-)
You know what? Unlike the US literally killed people and waged wars, BYD never used any bullets and missiles to kill anybody. They just developed attractive cars. They just did their best for winning global competition.
Great job guys reviewing the new coming EVs to Australia in the next year! Would be interesting to see how the Sealion 7 is gonna compete with Zeekr 7X.
Hello Guys thanks for the review. Next time you are in a BYD try putting 3 fingers on the screen to change the temp and the fan speed. Also you can just use the voice command if you change the language in the menu to english. We have the dolphin and have found it to be a great car and a big step up from our old Toyota Corolla.
Been waiting for this for a while boys. Not a chance in hell it will be 48k. 55k drive away would be the target surely. Just over 60k got the performance
@@shawndonadieu4084 too much comparison to the Y. The issue is. It cant be priced below the Seal and cant be priced below the Sealion 6. 55K driveaway is on point I feel. The Y will faulter from the other brands Xpeng, Zeekr etc.
It will decimate Seal sales even if it ends up $2k dearer. It will also knock sales from the hybrid SL 6. At circa $10k dearer than Atto 3 ER it makes sense. How it can do 3.8 seconds 0-100kph eludes me as it is heavier and less aerodynamic than equivalent Seal.
Guys, looking at a space in the back of the car is pointless without a reference, eg. Large suitcases... Can it slide 3 Xlarge suitcases in the back? (size range being: Cabin, large, Xlarge)
My last Atto3 OTA killed my "Hey BYD" feature and no setting would bring it back. I told the MyCar man at the 40,000km service and after being stung $499 for it, he said I had to contact BYD because they couldn't restore "Hey BYD". I have yet to go through the process, but it has left me wondering how convoluted this wil be? Will they ship it back to China or send a mechanic business class to Brisbane? Will they even fix it? In the meantime, has any other BYD owner gone through this? I would love to know how many and what I'm in for? Oh well, one back speaker is also making inappropriate noises. This might be a regular occurrance.
You need to make an active assessment of every 'donk' and you must include 'Donk' from Crocodile Dundee. Your views will increase by 10 fold! Trust me!
no, it only mean your cabin floor is directly on the battery, no more extra floor gap between battery and car floor. the same way to take out and put in the battery pack. They did it starting with seal
But you'd buy a US car. The UN special Repertoire Dr Alena Douhan visited Xinjiang in May this year and found no evidence of a genocide there. The US government made it up just like they made up WMD in Iraq in 2003, just to discredit China.
That's a click bait title if Ive ever seen one and a massive call. It's nice but it's new and needs to elvolve before it can compete directly with the Juniper model Y.
I’m a mandarin speaker and I didn’t see any time they made fun of the language. I found them quite respectful when saying hello and trying to read the characters on the vehicle.
