I bought the 2025 Toyota Camry LE specifically because I wanted the 16 inch tires and really didn't want to be "sport tuned'. I came from a 2007 Honda Accord EX-L V6 which was very much a driver's car. The problem that I had with the low profile tires was frequent tire blow outs from pot holes or running up against a curb. Surprisingly, the Camry LE is well grounded with good feedback from the steering. It does not feel floaty or vague when driving like my wife's 2013 Toyota Camry does at speeds over 50 or 60 MPH. Very happy with the LE.
There is absolutely NO question about it. THE LE is the model to buy. If you're shallow and need a black shiny rim to make your ex jealous then spend the 2k more. But those 16 inch tires on the LE will give you a huge mileage advantage and cost alot less to replace. PLUS If you live in the snowy areas you can find a ton of 16 inch snow tire options. This car is a 60k Lexus for half the price! I'm getting mine next week from Maguire Toyota.
Jeff, Is that the LEgendary Camry LE about which we have heard so much? Is there an extra charge for those 16" rims that provide higher mpg, lower tire replacement costs and increased ride comfort throughout the long, long life of the LEgendary Camry LE? 🤔😁
Why don't they just put the delivery cost with the sticker price TOGETHER and STOP🛑 splitting them up.. That's so unnecessary to bring up every time. Just combine the two and say that's the sticker price!!!!JEEHZ.....
I picked up the 2025 Camry hybrid LE model earlier this month, mainly due to the 16" tire for better gas mileage and smoother ride. Averaged 59 MPG on first tank fill, and that's with air conditioner on. For those that purchased the new 2025 Camry hybrid, when refilling with fuel always shut down the car (both electric and gas motor off) otherwise the tank mileage distance indicator will not reset. And always reset the MPG button, and trip indicator after refilling the tank. I'm so impressed with the gas mileage, I'm getting a lot more than advertised.
Paint protection is not needed and neither are the over charged usb cables for $79. That’s almost $1,000 savings by removing those useless things that the dealership adds.
I disagree. I paid for extra paint protection and it saved my Toyota from 4 different chips from rocks in the highway in multiple situations. It's all about how much you can afford and I you care to protect your car beyond oil changes and simple maintenance.
I test dove an XSE last week and did NOT like the driver seat. Too firm, too thin. Maybe I'm just not used to it because my last two cars have been SUVs with super comfortable seats. Is the comfort level in the driver seat exactly the same for both the LE and SE?
LE with heated seats for me. Better MPG and don’t like the black wheels on the SE. If the SE had the LE rims and same MPG I’d go with that (as long as the sport tuned suspension is as comfortable as the standard one).
Very entertaining. Can the gauge cluster be configured to show a more traditional speedometer with needle, instead of just showing the speed digitally?
I wish the LE comes standard with manual lumbar support. I hate to spend $1,050 for the convenience package just to get the lumbar support and I don't care about the other features that comes with it. My 2010 VW Golf base model has the manual lumbar adjustment lever which I appreciate very much.
2025 LE CAMRY or LUXURY EDITION CAMRY 2025 the ride is really SMOOTH and COMFORTABLE. I've just purchased it. I got the windows tinted with ceramic film, to block out the sun rays, UV light, I'm happy to save money on gasoline too. 😊 We're HAPPY CAMPERS UNDERGROUND color ❤❤❤
I appreciate the 4-1-1 on the LE and the SE . I'm considering one or the other Jeff. One thing, I think you singing is a bit annoying. Have you thought of being the 1st to do a car review musical? Wear a top hat, tails and have a cane. Think Putting on the Ritz! Dance and sing around the car. Use the cane to point out features and details. I'm probably going to go with the most MPG version. I really do not need a Moonroof or anything heated. That points to the LE.
How ? Same engine but different mpg ? LE 51 mpg SE 47 mpg Just because of rim size ? Or what ? If I buy XLE, it comes with 18 inches. I want 17" rims. Will MPG change ? 47 mpg to 50 mpg ? True ? Please let me know. Thanks.
@@nnamdiubbaonu4381 wheel size is smaller on the LE so less rotational mass and the added weight of extra items can affect the mpg’s. So yes smaller wheels helps but at the same time “S” models are sport designed so programming can play a part, I’m not saying that’s the case but can affect mpg
Need help deciding!!!!! We are getting a 2025 camry and our options as a buyer are limited because we cant customize options. We can only take what the dealer has available. My wife is sold on the Ocean Gem color and the only thing they had was an LE, with no convenience package. The only extra add-ons are door edge guards and all weather mats. It was still in build phase so we put a deposit down and it will arrive at the beginning of October. But this morning their website showed an Ocean Gem SE in the build phase. It comes with the addition of the convenience package and something called Ikon GPS. The SE costs about $3000 more than the LE and wont arrive until the end of November... Do I take the LE and call it a day or should i wait for the SE?
I’d take the LE asking as it had the cold weather + convenience package. The leather in the SE with no perforations sounds like a sticky, hot, and uncomfortable mess
Good for you cuz shockingly this car's official MPG's went DOWN for 2025 instead of up like you'd expect. I was hoping for 60mpg. Toyota has been making hybrids for nearly 25 years now. I don't car a bit about horsepower. I care a ton about mpg's. Enjoy your 56mpg anyway.
I'm thinking about the Tesla because of the self drive feature. The Toyota salesman told me I could drive with one finger on the wheel of the Camry. How good is the lane assist?
Dunno. Think they simply want to sell every car they make with zero leftovers. Our dealership, motor mile, gets in about 5 every Wednesday. They’re typically all sold by Saturday. We were surprised to find an ocean gem colored car there this past Saturday. Took a minute due to the DMV being hacked across the country, but we got it done in the end.
Saw them both in the flesh..those 16" tires look out of place on this car. I bought the SE cuz of standard remote start , leather heated steering wheel, heated mirrors, sunroof, auto dim mirror, and proximity unlock doors . (Canada), and you can not get awd on the base trim( SE in Canada). A year wait however to get it.
The fact that you can have a full suite of driver assists in a spacious car, with Toyota reliability and at < $30k, is a godsend in 2024. If Americans bought Camry LEs in droves, we wouldn't need to complain about how cars are so bloated and overpriced these days. People are just buying way more than they need, not realising that they are their own problem.
The only way to get a true base model is the Le with nothing additional. Once you add anything it cannot truly be considered a base model. For my money I'm going with the SE adding the convenience and all-weather package.
May I ask why the hybrid options scares you off? To me it’s far better mpg, a reasonable price, more power, a smooth ride, and Toyota’s reliable hybrid system
David, I hate to inform you but, the hybrid version is better in just about every way compared to the ICE variant. The hybrid version is considerably more powerful, significantly more fuel efficient in city/stop and go driving, more quieter, and a tad more reliable overall. It’s literally a no brainer.
@@lennygarrison6836 Not true at all. The cost of replacing that battery at some point will eat away any of the gas savings you had over the years plus some states charge a extra yearly fee for owning a hybrid car further reducing any gas savings. Not to mention that producing that battery and disposing of it creates more pollution than a gas car does in the first 100k of ownership. Do some homework...
@@Toyotajeff Hello Jeff! I drive all highway miles 95% percent of the time gas is cheap where i am and my state charges a yearly hybrid fee on top of the normal fee plus if you calculate the hybrid battery replacement cost at 150-220k miles it takes away your gas savings. It just doesn't fit my current situation and i dislike how Toyota left no gas only option. We all don't live in the city and pay $4 plus for gas where it makes more sense to have one.
